Past that, negative.
And if I advertised a special musician and a beer/wine, and we don't have one/both of them? Yeah, you'd get an apology and a refund if that is what you wanted. You would have had to have prepaid though. If you come to my establishment, and knowingly still come in after being told we don't have the product advertised, then that is on you. You would also be able to still come into my business and continue to spend money if you so desire on other product though. If though, you walk in and try to order a bottle of Bud Light (which we don't carry) and get angry because we don't have what you want, (when we have 80 taps and around 100 more bottles, more than enough selection) and then say you want a $20 bottle of say, Southern Tier Creme Brulee (great stuff if you can get it) for free instead, I'm going to tell you to piss off.
As it stands now, only a few people can play the game, and it seems like even fewer are able to participate in Guild Wars. Same with a busy restaurant/bar.
It seems like there's a pile up at the host stand and they aren't seating anyone. Maybe the hosts are idiots. Maybe the kitchen crashed. Maybe a server/cook just injured themselves really bad and has to go to the hospital, putting other people behind (seen that too). Maybe the computer crashed and they can't send checks or cash anyone out. Or maybe there is a long wait because simply no one is getting up. So, those who are sat and drinking and enjoying the day/night, enjoy. Those that aren't and are waiting... they get impatient and start getting angry. Then they start making demands. This is where the idea of a roll back/compensation comes into play. Do you say "since we can't serve everyone, no one gets served, everyone else has to leave" (If I can't have it, no one can) Is that fair to the people that were already able to get a seat? Not really. Does it suck that there is a line of people out the door not getting sat? Yup. Is there an easy fix outside of fixing the main issue and getting the flow back to normal? No. Or compensation. Well, since you couldn't get in, you get a free beer. Well, that isn't fair to the people already inside, they just paid full price right? Or what about a long wait? So, what would YOU do? (not you exactly Lcharlie, just saying to everyone) This is business. Decisions like this happen all the time. How would you run it?
In my industry, empty seats is my biggest enemy. If I can't seat people in a timely fashion, they can and will go elsewhere. So, yeah, I doubt Gree is happy that a large % of their player base can't play the game is is probably losing a good deal of money from people buying and spending gems, so I doubt they just said "screw it, lets just go home for the weekend and let these suckers suffer."
