OK, so I actually have to wait 44hrs but I have finally started my upgrade to a level 10 Breeding Den. It took approximately 8 days (including being hit for 150,000 gold over the weekend) to save the 1.805 million to do the upgrade. Of course, being an idiot, I mis-timed the upgrade of a stable yesterday and had to wait 6 hrs while it finished before I could start the breeding den. Fortunately, I collected an extra 100,000 gold during this period as insurance. I would like to thank all the people who donated manors, lender, many many silos, leatherworkers, taverns and the occasional winemaker (got to have cocktail hour) to my incessant raiding in order to make this happen. You generosity is much appreciated. And for those three individuals I ran into with stats close to or above me - thank you for allying with me (though West, I wish you had debated whether to attack me a bit longer - that 150K delayed things a bit). To tell you the truth, I am exhausted. It was worse than a PvP event since it went on for 8 days of raiding every time I had a spare moment. I still have this insane twitch "must raid, must raid" - like some sort of raiding undead zombie:D

Actually it should be 1,584,830+330,000=1,914,000 which would result in 552 per month - of course that does not account for the amount of time I would be institutionalized after going nuts raiding nonstop for several months. 8 days was enough.

I took in a ton of gold each day from raiding. I generally kept to buildings that would deliver a minimum of 300/300/600 in gold and probably average over 2000 gold per 3 hits. The key is picking buildings that deliver low xp as well. I averaged well over 200,000 gold per day and took in over 320,000 gold last Friday alone, my best day. One advantage to pursuing this at lvl 76 - 78 is that I saw more manors. I got 7 or 8 this morning alone - hence my mistimed stable upgrade.

I'm still stuck at hydras and 1 just perished in PVP.My calculation was based on a half hour collection, so 18 hours which I put alarm to make sure I don't miss any collection. I can do better if I add pvp and pve. My corcern is if I do pve I will level up to quick and ended up with rivals which I'm not familiar. If I do pvp, I might succeed quite often but the main problem is to be in the rival feeding list. If the rival boost allies might get higher stats.

Every rival that attacks me I take the time to check the stats and see how close it is comparing to mine. What I find lately quite often is rivals with close to 100 allies than me. Considering that each ally brings 3 units, it's 300 units more than me. That hasn't been a problem at the moment but worries me. That's the only reason that I've been so cautions. I prefer to spend a bit more time than to be caught by someone.

It only took 2 days. I wasn't planning to do it at the time. Then I found 3 guys with over 200k unvaulted each in the span of 2 hours and hit raiding/PVp hard the rest of the day and made lvl 9. Prior to that I was beefing up all the inflated iph bldgs to get at least 1 million in a chest buy. I told myself if I could make another million the next day I would break down and buy the last million ( I wanted to avoid the stress and gray hairs joe went thru lol). I squeaked by with 5k over by the end of the day and made the upgrade. Hob is right, I didn't do it completely free but I saved 2 out of the 3 mill I needed and I'm content with that.

Got 2-300k from him... taught me a valuable lesson: you can lose 500k pretty dang quickly if a couple of people max attack you for 9900/hit.

LoL I get called an a-hole or jerk probably twice a day. Just laugh it off or sometimes I try to have a light-hearted banter with them to see if it's just a knee-jerk reaction or if they're really just rude. Some of them are creative and I like that.

This one comes to mind, she was leaving me some snarky comments and then attacked me (lost), raided me (lost), and posted "I haven't found a weakness....yet" LoL that's good stuff

After that I never heard about him crying again and complaining...lol. If you are stronger make sure this kind of behaviour is put in place. Most of the ones Im seeing are keeping allies low @ 200 or so around the L100-105 mark. Ive seen 4 of them (without even trying) in the last two days. Most of the ones Ive seen had pretty high D/Level... one was a pretty massive gem spender.

You must be starting at 100k+ a/d then. I've upped my a/d by 20k each (a 35% increase) in under a week after hitting bd 10. I think the increase is exceptional. It does help if you can sink at least a few hundred k into them each day thru collections/raiding.

If KoD is the only player cracking your defenses try to join Forum Knights. Then she can't attack you again.

I debated the order of the lvl 10 BD or the lvl 3 Manor but was concerned that I was leveling too high and wanted to get the big target out of the way. I think it was the correct call for me and only would have sped up the lvl 10 BD savings by half a day or so as it would have only added 22,000 gold every 2 days for a total of about 100,000 gold during the whole process.

Definately a powerful unit - if you look at my units you will see that I only have one - Horny Dragon A/D of 35,000/30,000 - entire armies flee before the prospect of being assulted by a Horny Dragon - not even plate mail offers sufficient "protection";)

That must have cost an absolute fortune of RM!! Level 10 upgrade alone is 25mil isnt it?! At my IPH of 11k I only get 1.31mil per $100 purchase so that is one expensive little building!

Dang, I just came up against the heaviest gem player I've seen at Levels 50-51. He's L51, A10.0k, D8.7k (versus my L50, A7.9k, D9.8k) with very little economy (IPH only 2.2k, to give you a rough idea)... I was sitting at 0.5m gold, and he managed to take around 60k off me - but I spotted the attacks just in time to dump another 100k or so into units.

He's not responded to my ally request... and worse, I accidentally attacked him while I was checking out his base. If his news feed is anything like mine, I will be on his feeding list for a long time, so it looks like I will have to put off BD Level 9 for at least the next few weeks. :(

I guess there is something of a silver lining though - at least this didn't happen on my coming holiday later in the week!

I was actually able to collect everything for lvl 9 BD without getting hit at all. I thought I had a chance at lvl 10 so went for it. Along the way I lost around 600k from three whales. I got the first two to join as allies but the last one had a bit of a reputation for being aggressive according to his wall so I panicked a bit and ended up using a few hundred gems for energy refills last night to finish off the 1.75m needed for the final upgrade.

It was definitely exciting, but getting hit for 200k a pop and then wondering if they'd be back for more was a real punch in the gut when it happened each time.

Not exactly a "free player" accomplishment, but still hard to do.

Finally I'm part of BD 10 club. I started upgrading mine last night. I was supposed to start upgrading tomorrow but I decided to sell one manor to speed up things. I was getting too nervous with so much gold unvoulted. So at the end I decided to go safe and not risk all work done.

If I had to start all over again. I would make sure my IPH was higher. It would be great to collect 200k a day instead of my 120k which took me ages. But I'm happy it's over and now I can concentrate on bringing my stats higher.

This is my first post and I hope I'm in the right place to ask you those questions.

I am wondering if selling buldings is a good way to achieve big updates.
I haven't sold any bulding yet so I have several questions :
- How is the price of sold buldings calculated ?
- Are upgraded buldings more expansive ?
- Can we build a bulding again after selling it (I hope so !) ?

For instance I have 2 lvl 1 manors.
I would like to upgrade my Breeding Den to lvl 8.
I tried to save cash but I've been systematically stolen my savings so far.
Is it a good way to get my upgrade to sell my manors, use the cash and then rebuild them ?

Also, maybe buy some High Priests to improve your defense. Most of us have saved over the vault by having defense armies of High Priests, and maybe less allies.

Well, maybe try to get there by timing your collections and selling the manors. Stop levelling up, don't do maps but robbing is ok on the higher payout buildings, not too much xp gained. Then you can buy hydra and improve your stats.

Xenhahr - welcome to the forum. Most forumites will not attack a fellow forumites. Others on the forum have stated their level and allies and obtained a BD 10.

You might be at a level that the whales can't see but you are close. Like Bea said, adding XP will only get you higher. If in whale territory, probably can camp for a little time, until the minimum level is raised. With 203 allies, you might be a little high to fly under the near max ally radar, find out from someone with near max allies on your level how far they can see down. You can camp until you build your High Priest defense. By reducing your allies, you will not have to buy as many HP.

@xenjahr As your Wizard Spire is only L2 I wouldn't bother with the High Priests at this stage. You are so close, just sell the manors and buy them again after.

From 440 Allies & L113 - I can see people @ 105 + 180-200 allies... one will probably
get caught going unvaulted for too long with those stats by someone with 2x the A.
Not all "whales" are at max allies either up in the 100s.

I'll look for him this morning when I get around to opening KA on my phone.

Edit: FWIW - I just started the build on my BD8 last night. Took me 3-4 attempts.

Edit2: You're not going to get away from high stat players at L100+ by
lowering your ally cpucount if you're at 200 to begin with. There are some
really good stat players with 200-250 allies who (from my recent experience) can
see down to the 50-80 ally count.

I would recommend putting everything into buying Dragons and when you hit a cow use it to upgrade your BK and repeat. At your levels there's tons of gold to be found.

I am level 120 deep in whale territory with stats of around 79k/69k which had taken quite a dip by the end.

I have finally started my Breeding Den upgrade to Level 10. It was a rather tumultuous day. A lot of things happened but I do not want to bore you guys with details.

Instead I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to my friends and allies, and everyone else who had contributed in advice, support and gold.

It is possible to get to BD 10 in a company of whales (some are blue whales, some are killer whales).
