But what was happening in KnD, was that you could conceivably level a toon/armor high enough to kill the Epic Boss level 15, craft the armors, and then have an almost guaranteed chance at an Epic. That is a failed mechanic. Epic's are not meant to be had by all. Otherwise, they'd give the new Epic from Guild Wars to every tier. But they didn't. That means, reserved for only a handful. That is the way the rest should be.

As far as the chests go. Its like playing the lottery. If you haven't noticed, not everyone wins the 100 million jackpot. If you're lucky, you might match 2 or 3 numbers and get your money back. The luckier they are, the more you make. And technically, you ARE getting something guaranteed. Lots of EP feeder armors. But you want Guaranteed EPIC armors. Nice try. Not going to happen.

Or, ever buy a pack of baseball/football/basketball/WoW/Magic/Pokemon/YuGiOh/Whatever cards? You are guaranteed you'll get the listed number of cards/armors on the package/chest. That is it! You want the Gold Hologram Michael Jordan card? That is 1:2500. You want the Spectral Tiger Mount from WoW? That is like, 1:1000. You want the Jester's Mask card from the Ice Age expansion from Magic the Gathering?... you get the idea. Cards/Armors/whatevers aren't super rare because they are in every pack and everyone has them. You pay for a CHANCE every time you buy things like that.
I completely agree with what your saying about epics being much too easy to fuse but none the less and I don't expect guaranteed epic armors. I think that would be pointless. I would buy every one. The point is all the games you listed above are pay to play. KnD at its core is a f2P game. Most of the things you used as examples are all p2p. I could trade for a gold hologram Michael Jordan card (ironically I have his rookie card ) my big thing is that it gives free players something to work for as an ultimate goal. The way they release epic armors was a mistake in the first place. They should have either been unfusable to begin with or very difficult. Since they have already released them as an obtainable Item I don't think it is right for them to just take it away. My personal opinion. I have already listed a simple solution for the problem I'm hoping they actually take a look at it and consider it.
