Were these once-upon-a-time the best armors in the game? I'm obviously missing something.
It's more for the sake of collecting.

My friend's list is currently full, i won't be able to accept new players at the moment.

    The answer would be none.
I think there are still far more "non-hacker" players that don't give a rip enough to go through code or files on jailbroken iphones or through whatever means they are using to glitch and hack their way to the top. The same can be said for paying-to-play through Gree. The people that spend more money, and spend it wisely, have a much greater advantage in the game than people that don't. That is the way these games work. Its not impossible, but it is generally harder to become top level without spending money in many of these games. The money spenders have more access to gems and thus can open far greater amounts of chests for better armor, upgrade their buildings quicker and more often, etc.

Don't kid yourself by thinking that trading is the end of a game. Playing Rage of Bahamut, yes, you saw people selling accounts and in-game currency on Ebay. The way they have their system setup, its very easy to "hack" the game through creating 100 bogus accounts and getting 100x the login bonuses and funneling your best cards back to one main account. The same thing happens with WoW and other games. Sure, people have alts they play, but they use gold from one toon to help another, and have Bind-on-account items that help your alt toons level quicker. Why? Cause if you have 9 level 90 toons, its probably 100x harder to quit playing than if you only have 1 and have to sit and grind out leveling another toon. Why wouldn't you if you could? Hell, Diablo 3 embraced selling stuff and decided they'd allow people to do it as long as they get a cut. You can go in and pay real money for in game items that can instantly make you elite, give or take a spec and rotation etc etc... but the key point here is that people willing to spend money, have an instant "i can make myself better through paying" option. There will ALWAYS be people who buy their way or hack and cheat their way through games. Trading or not trading won't change that.

Adding trading might suck for some, and be great for others. If you have a genuine friend who you want to help, and can toss them a lower level armor that will help them level, but does nothing for you, why not? The more they level and play the game, the more they will be sucked into the game, (and help you if they become high enough) thus more potential for them to spend money, or farm gems through the "free" offers that Gree gets a kick-back from... But yeah, there will also be people who use it as a feeder system and figure out a way to trade mats or armors to one account to become super powerful. If someone wants to take 10 hours a day to channel said trade goods back and forth, you know what, let them. Eventually, you'd think and hope that they'd be caught with a trade abuse and banned anyway. Or, they'll just waste 10 hours of their day playing a game and probably getting no where in life and you can point and laugh at them all later.

Just saying... trading is not the end of the world, nor would it be the end of this game. Its a solid idea that with a little tweaking or implementation of some of the ideas tossed about here, could add a whole new aspect of the game.

These + armors are only available in DPC chest. Some are very old boss armors, but most are just the fusion only armors, except you can't fuse + versions.

As to hacking, I am under the impression Gree is slowly reprogramming everything so that it's not saved client side. Afterall, client side programming is in the hands of the enemy (to quote the amazing Theorycrafter)

Yes, I was quoting the guy who taught me almost everything I know about client-server programming, and HE was probably quoting Koster. Thanks for the link!
