There was never a boycott, there was just a delay in time until they used the same amount of gold as they normally would have. A short period of "abstention" isn't really abstaining if you splurge after that period ends. They keep complaining, but they keep spending. The only way to prove anything to Gree would be to stop spending period, but there are too many people that need to keep trying to stay number one to maintain their online pride to do that.
