The only person in that old thread that actually admitted to buying their Gold from China was Beddoe/Koralene herself. I believe she got banned in game shortly afterwards.
Long story short, some dude set up a website claiming he bought his Gold bulk from Gree in China because favorable exchange rates and lower prices for the Chinese market made it 1/3 of the cost. You sent him money, gave him your UDID and game code, and he put Gold in your CC account.
More fool anyone stupid enough to give their UDID to an obvious hacker.

Why is it unreasonable to think that you can't buy gold from a hacker? It was all over tech news in the summer. A Russian hacker did a man in the middle hack on Apple servers and DID PERCISELY what was talked about on here. Just look it up.

I've heard rumors of a variation on this that what they do is email this one dude, who may or may not work for Gree, he lets them know when he can safely get the gold, then you email back your UDID and paypal him $20 per vault.
Can't confirm the allegations, but it's the new spin - and entirely possible. If CJ, the late CCM and the rest of support can just add gold out of nowhere, what's the stop a less well-paid / less responsible support person from making some bucks on the side?
