Something weird happened about 20 minutes ago (and only just now I am wondering if it's somehow exploitable). I decided to say 'F it' and try a gold open with gold I got from Tapjoy. There was a huge lag before I was given the "cannot connect" message. Strangely and not unexpectedly, the 15 gold was still deducted from my total, and the $22k I just collected from my ML doubled to $44k. At this point I was not about to keep pressing the gold button because I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened. So I tapped the cash option. The same thing happened. Huge lag followed by "could not connect", but my cash/gold on hand didn't change. I tried a third time to open the freaking box, and finally I got... A Hitman's Sniper Rifle. Not impressed, but the box did open, and initially I did tap the gold option intentionally (this time), so I can't complain. I closed the game at this point, forgetting to bank what was left of the cash I had ($4k). I went back into the game to bank that, now thinking to myself that I paid the 15 gold and 2x $20k, so all three attempts did cost me. After banking I decided to check the leader board and I was very surprised to see that my number of total Rims had increased by 1. Looks like I got 3 quick attempts and at least 2/3 opened, the first one (HSR), the extra Rim, and one misc. I don't know what happened with the third box, or if it even opened at all. Oh well. That was weird though.

Paying by in-game Cash rules. I however cannot open 25 in a row unless of course I can get gold more often. I cannot earn any more free gold atm.
Have only 7 rims now, only 13 to get all 4 items available except for top 250 and 25 ofc.
You're lucky. I did open by gold twice, both times server disconnected and I could not find out what I got, maybe junk items or maybe nothing at all (because it not connect to server but still subtract the gold).
I emailed Funzio to ask for the gold back and they returned them to me.

I thought I could compete top 200 for a super rare 5 star Leviathan card but still struggle at top 1350 with high level rare 4, 3 stars cards. it's 10 times harder than CC events, I give up.
That has happened to me too. It was many months ago though. I won't need to submit a ticket this time since I'm guessing the Rim came from the gold open, only I never saw that or the result from the second attempt that failed to connect. The only open I saw was the last one after my cash was taken and the game was back to normal. Just didn't update in game until I closed/re-opened. That happens sometimes so that isn't what is unusual. The rest of what happened, now that's unusual.
