It actually makes it easier to win both ltq's as you can have 2 days of building between each of them. You just got to decided if you want to do well in the UV event or go for both LTQ's as you cant do well on both without spending.

Personally, I think Plat commanders a waste of time so I go for both LTQ's.

I'm more concerned that the latest 90 ltq commander is lower on stars than per usual that was mentioned on another thread by someone.
Don't know how long you've been playing, but I've got about a year and a half in this game. Timing for LTMs has always been inside build events until they decided to surprise everyone with the LTMs inside the last Global Domination event...and then they've screwed up the timing the last couple of times. So yes, it's a very recent development.

My point was that this change to the timing was such a blatant, transparent attempt to squeeze more money out of players it's caused me to rethink my time/energy/money committment to this game. The game is changing for me from a contest between my team and the rest of the world I'm in to one between me and the game itself. And I don't like that.

Like most, I really play to continue to support my team and my friends that I've played with for this long. Gree is now the enemy more than the players I fight against.

They rarely, if ever, put gold on a discount. They discount speedups and teleports deep into the events now, instead of before the event starts. The timing of LTQs is changing, in the hopes of getting players to dig deep into their pockets for speedups and instant builds. Global Domination is 3 days long, and being on a team that has finished top ten I can attest to just how much effort goes into that. Finality, State of the Art, and the other top 5 teams in the GD events have guys that hardly sleep for three days straight...this is unsustainable--those guys will burn out much sooner than if the event were a more manageable 1 1/2 - 2 days. But the intent with GD is to pump more gold/$$$ out of those top teams, and that's it.

So again, point is I'm getting fed up. And it's sad for me because I've spent a lot of time and really enjoyed myself for the most part. It's a great game, the mechanics of the game play is challenging to figure out--and the internal world politics and interaction with other teams adds another dimension.
