For my new account, I'm looking for a competitive, active guild that doesn't rely on gem purchases.

Let me tell you just a bit about us, and then you can decide for yourself...
Last guild war we were well above top 750, with 3 active players. We now have around 10 members, all active in their own capacities. All are becoming stronger from the new union! We have some bonuses obviously such as +4 members, -14 build time, -10 upgrade time..
