So what is happening?
I'm unable to participate in GW, but can (now) play the rest of the game.
Do I continue to try to lvl up, craft armour, fight boss etc, or will it be futile as the game will roll back & I'll lose what little progress I've made?
OK, 27 hours after Guild War started, I can now access all parts of the game I did before the War, except the War itself, That hangs on the connection screen and crashes. I was able to clear my Gold production, arena foints, and fight the Epic Boss twice (due to a 5ee drop). Might still reach 43 if the game stays stable for me.
Checking Guild Chat it looks like four of our Guild of 40 can access the War enough to actually fight. The Guild Master and myself (Sentinel) are not amongst those four. There is no current war so I cannot say how connection would be if there were one, but certainly no better.
The last battle vs. Centurions showed we lost by a margin of 37,153 to 303. Some of that is their superiority, but a lot of it is that we had only one or two active players.
Their total War points at that time were 558,019 to our 63,317.
I can get into the game now. But everything Guild war related still crashes. As soon as the '"Battle frenzy bonus!'' poped up, I was forced to press ''go'' and it crashed again. As soon as that went away I could actually do the usual stuff finally cause the ''Guild war started'' pop up is also gone
Wish I could enjoy the war
The Rainbow Room is unstoppable. They already claim the title before the war end.
What a big gap. It seems they don't have any problem at all.

After 24 hrs can now get into the game. Phew. But with hope I then declared war... & its crashing me out again. Not the whole game but just the guild war screen. Hope my guild dont hate me for starting a war I cant fight!!Quote:

This is a serious problem. I try and play it crashes. I send a message to my guild members it crashes. I try and fight someone from another guild it crashes. It's causeing us to slowly fall behind. Some of my guilds members can't even participate! I hope these issues are solved soon. And maybe some compensation to all the players who've been affected.
Gotta laugh at some people *****ing about RR winning. Its very likely they would anyway so not a relevant argument to the technical issues we are experiencing.
& as for compensation??? Well how does compensating everyone (which is what they would have to do) help those who have been severely affected? ie could not play the game at all for 24 hrs. If everyone gets the same compensation across the board eg 20 gems... then those that werent affected get the same bonus..
Definitely need to compensate people who bought gems & lost them however, because the exchange of money in this world means as a company they must deliver the product.
Either way, its a massive DISASTER the roll out of Guild Wars & GREE should be quite shamefaced at its lack of preparation.

I asked how you knew that more than half our guild was participating and able to play, thus, you know, less affected than everyone else like you said we were, and yet you jump right back to cheating and glitching, and bulk assumptions of the guild as a whole. Why? Do you have something against us? Did your mom not love you enough as a child? Or it is your assumption that since RR was found to previously had a cheater, that now we're all cheaters and thus, we can actually log into the game because its a conspiracy and Gree is secretly letting cheaters/glitchers/hackers play. If people spent gems on energy, tried to use said energy, and lost it, then yes, they deserve a refund. If they do it repeatedly, they're idiots, and then don't deserve more than one chunk of gems refunded. They are also in the game, so they have a step up already on the people not in the game. Not that it matters, but its a step above others at the moment. Just saying. I don't disagree with any part of your statement. So yes, if someone bought a drink, and my staff member spilled it, or even if they didn't and the guest did, more often than not, yes, they would get another drink. This is m 2nd line up( fought him twice) first line up is the scenario happened stated above.
Update, Wise One? I still can't play. I used to be able to fight, but for some reason I can't access the GW page... Crashes everytime.

If you really want to send a message to gree everyone should go to the app store and rate this game 1 star with an explanation of what gree has failed to do. While complaining on this forum helps relieve stress it does nothing for gree. There is such a small percentage of players and potential players that actually read this forum. As of right now this game is rated 4.5 stars on apple's app store. If people are serious about all the problems they should vote this game down so that the rating in the app store goes down. Only when gree feels the financial pain will they really get serious about the problems.
Bit harsh if you have enjoyed the game for a while. GREE have stuffed this up BIG TIME, agreed, but to send a message to them just contact support & register that you have been affected. Why downrate thegame if 90% of the time u have played you have enjoyed it? This is probably going to cost them anyway in loss of play, people not spending & loss of trust not to mention if they do decide on some compensation.Quote:

On the positive side at least now I can do arena, boss and farm. So the old game is mostly back. But guild wars is still unplayable. It's basic economics with RR: they have a higher percentage of people with higher disposable income than average in the game; hence, more of them have the latest iPhone 5 which appears to be largely unaffected. End of the day even with this fiasco my guild is doing OK, there's no chance we fall out of the top 25, and may still get top 10 without my and so many others' involvement, and I'll still get 43 on the boss with an outside chance at 51 with Gree's current patch; it's mostly feeling utterly useless and letting my guildmates down which has me so incredibly disappointed with Gree, however irriational it is to let myself be bothered by something I have no control over in this instance.
Short of buying a new phone and in the unlikely event Gree can cut over the account to the new one this weekend... yeah, who am I kidding, especially when Apple is theorized to be releasing a new one this year anyway as they have for the last several.
Put a god damn X on the battle frenzy so i dont have to go into guild war and crash the samn game! What is so f**king har about that. Why do you assume everyone WANTS to go to battle at that particular time!

Got my first attack battle of the war in tonight and won of course ... But it was only a one time tease as it crashes every other time I have retryed joining war... Baby steps gree baby steps

I don't know much about what happened, but i think it's unfair to assign blame to an entire guild over the actions of a few. guilds are not likely to be aware of exactly what each of their members are doing. If they were aware and allowed it to slide, or if after being made aware they still accepted the members into their fold then that's another matter entirely (like I said I don't know the details)Quote:

After the third attempt I haven't spent a gem since, but I suspect I am not alone in spending at least some gems. It would do a hell of a lot in terms of good will for gree to compensate people for their losses (whether it be inability to play and collect coins, defeat the boss/ arena or loss of gems). As a businessman you would know that good will counts towards a lot, it's even factored into the selling price of businesses. :) for gree's sake, and for the players I Hope they offer a goodwill gesture. Well... I kinda knew the bazillion of issues there was so likely to happen when this event started. So i purchased no guardian ;P instead invested in bonuses only, and im glad i did it,
Any news, updates, fixes, anything changes at all? Its nearly 2 days now since this all started. And i haven't been able to help my guild much at all. And i'm a guild master. I don't wanna start another long story about members doing most work while on war while a guild master like me haven't even participated.
This guild war had a pathetic start. But i hope it won't end miserably for other players like myself.
An update regarding crashes would be nice now wouldn't it, the Wise One?
So eventhough most people are (probably) already using these strategies, might be helpful for certain people (instead of the same people going back n forth about the same things for pages n pages);
1; take down, if applicable, the guardian first, that way the extra Def bonus is gone, plus, if ur the knight who beat the guardian with the most points, u get a nce extra :)
2; go for the sentinel with a lower member with one energy to recon his armour/stats, relay that info to the more powerful members in your group so they will suit up correctly and take down the sentinel more easily,
3; once its open hunting season, and depending on ur strength, go after guild champions, high commanders etc and, if your having difficulties defeating a certain someone, relay the armour lineups to stronger guild members so they can take the enemy down,
4; in general, relay armour info , and difficulty, to ur fellow members, so u can know what ur up against ( the other guilds will be doing the same to you)
5; one way to - till a certain extent- combat recon by the enemy guild, is to change ur names to the same name, im not saying this will be 100% effective (there are ways to get passed this ) but it will make it somewhat more difficult for others guilds to relay info as everybody has the same name,
6; aim for enemy guild members that give high win point bonuses; maybe someone has done the math, but seems like ur win points is influenced by a nr of things, such as the level of ur opponent, the nr of knoghts that remain in ur lineup after defeat etc, so if u win from a GC thats approx the same level as u, and u still have two knghts, this will give u more points than beating a lower lv enemy commander with only one remaining knight on ur team,
7; once u have identified who gives the most points from wins, relay that info to ur fellow guild members and start pounding that person - given that ur powerful enough to take him (her) down,
8; if ur close to the timer running out, and ur about in a tie, get ready for a close end, (some) guilds will be waiting fr the last couple of minutes to attack frontally to get the win in the dying minutes/seconds
I think thats enough for now, for those not yet keeping this in mind, hope its useful, for those who already know the main startegy, and if u think theres smtg missing, pls add :)
Should be about time to start reflecting on the somewhat more "positive" sides of GWs, not just the glitches, yes its annoying, yes its affect (almost) everybody, but those that have participated should agree its exciting/fun, especially if you win!:)

Seems it crashes when guild war is declared and I can only go on when it's finished but it goes back to pre guild war so everything done after is loses :(
