Okay, now that the war is 2/3 over, on this battle I can FINALLY play.

EXCEPT... half the time when I attack, the game crashes in the middle of the attack. It drains my energy and gives me zero points. Energy I PAID GEMS FOR, mind you. Screw this stupid game. Why should I keep playing something that is now ZERO fun, 100% frustration and torture, and throwing $$$ down the drain now to boot????

There was an additional fix pushed out late last night to help with mitigating more crashes. At this point, we're still following numerous leads and working to continually address this.

Ooh, can I chime in... CRASH! Got into Guild Wars for first time today after about 30 tries since this morning. I started attack on the Guardian, got 4 hits into it and CRASH! Can't get back in.

Anytime you want to stop this crap or maybe fix it Gree, I'm sure we'd all appreciate it! I'm glad this was such a fair weekend of War. Again, it should have been shut down less than 1 hour after it started when getting flooded with complaints of it not working! That would have also stopped the forum wars, people losing unnecessary gems, time, epic boss fights, arena fights, etc etc etc etc. BUT, that would have been the WISE [One] thing to do.

Other thing I notice is after each crash, the number of friends waiting to be accepted is less than before. It started out at 41 yesterday, now it's down to 9. I haven't accepted anyone in the last 24 hours.

Thanks Baobaoboo and everyone else who answered. I've made a slight change to my team as a consequence, not that it probably matters at this stage. 50 hours gone, and still unable to access the War without crashing.

I'd have been perfectly happy to run a 'Phony War' to test the system before it went fully live, which was clearly required. Maybe next time Gree roll out some new feature it'll get thoroughly tested beforehand.

I think this guild war needs only a fix on the loadings,because pn 3gs and ipad 1 is 100% crash. Everything works fine on ipad2,3,mini,4, and on iphones 4 and higher.
Ecept that, i like the wars mechanic, the energy things, the guardians and even the rewards. Keep it as is it, and dont make some unexpected changes. Does someone know what is the frequence of the wars? Because i cant keep up whit wars on the weekends. Would be good a seven day pause and three day pause, to not overload me and my guildies. Three wars a month whould be fine.

Come on jonny, now you are just trying to stir up trouble. With almost every accusation of cheating GREE has responded with a strong "Do not post information about a specific player or guild on the forums" or they have let their silence tell us they are working on it so hard they don't have time to respond. Most of the time it is just a "display error" that caused the confusion in the first place.

Things are different here, better. Don't bring your crazy ideas and conspiracy theories over here and ruin it.

I agree. I don't play the other games, so I could care less what those forums say.

I think goes for anyone naming names or repeatedly claiming the presence of cheaters/glitchers/hackers. It is unnecessary and counter productive. And if people really disagree with this, why not just make a separate forum for "outing" cheaters and bashing guilds and name calling based on people's assumptions.

This was true for our guild as well. More members were able to join in during wars against small guilds.

Yea. I've also mentioned a ton of times that the crashes are guild size related. I can't click on the ;''members'' tab in my full guild, but I could with a guild that was about half full. Member loading all the players. (This was before guild wars even)

Sometimes, I crash 100% of the time when I use the fast forward arrow in guild war (but nowhere else). I think it is related to the animated background as other fields don't have one (and it does a weird skip right before crash)

I also crash in first battles in a guild war; if I come back in and do more battles, I'm fine for that war.

"Sometimes 100%" sigh... Phone typing results in two thoughts crossing wires. Doh.

its a bit buggy for me to, some crashes and sometimes i cant scroll to the bottom of the list of member to attack them. Im just telling my self that this is the first guild war ever so it can only get better :)

You say GREE doesn't owe anyone anything? I strongly disagree. I have used gems That i specifically bought for the magical GUILD WARS) to "refill" my energy only to have the game freeze/crash as I'm using it, and when i restart my energy is gone and so are the gems i just spent. So, my money is wasted. Using your (multi million dollar) bar analogy, but I must correct it to fit my situation... "I walk into your bar and order a round of beers for me and my chums. As the waitress brings them over, she SPILLS them all over the table. Are we expected to PAY for those spilled drinks? If so, why? It wasn't even our fault. Now imagine that waitress doing that 3,4,5, times. And when we decide we've had enough and want to leave the manager/owner comes over and says 'Hey, you need to pay for 20 beers.' Um, what? That's ridiculous. And if we did pay in advance for those beers, you either owe us our money back OR 20 actual beers. I don't see how someone could not see that.

Are you going to launch another Guild War soon? Due to so many problems with this one, it prevented tons of people from not really participating and getting the full experience of the Guild Wars. So, once you've fixed everything, would you consider doing another one?

I'm looking for a couple level 80+ to join my guild that will go hardcore guild war frenzy with me. I've been able to do about 10 wars a day myself, and we have a couple people in our guild on the opposite side of the globe that run them when I'm sleeping. I'm a level 130+ and we currently have a 100, and a few 90s, 80s, and a few really inactive low levels that could get replaced, but we have room for about 7 more right now. Muktuk mafia is our name. I'd really like to get in the top 10 next guild war.

Just downloaded the bugfix from AppStore. Scrolling through enemy Guildmembers is still buggy for me but AT LEAST the game crashed only once while fighting the enemy guardian, all other battles went without crashing.

Should be grateful for small things...though i dont know if its due to the time.

Not true, i have iPad Mini and iPhone 4s and was not able to participate. Random crashes occured all the time.

If it helps info wise, I always had problems before this scrolling down on the members screen in Guild tab. (couldnt see my own stats). & still do.
Using iphone 3GS.
Im one of the unlucky ones who could not get into the game at all when it first started glitching.
Can now only get into War tab when there is no active battle.
In a relatively small guild & they're starting to gripe about people not joining... (they dont realise the extent of this problem).
& I also did see at one point a locked icon saying debug.
Have reloaded app, reset phone, closed apps etc.
When redownlaoding app it always downloads, go into game, says an update required then have to go to app store again to do update.

I got an email back from gree in response to my ticket about crashing. They suggest to declare war against smaller guilds. I didn't know we had the choice on who we fight. I thought it was a random pairing. I've never seen a choice given when declaring. Or am I missing something?

We havent been able to choose a guild either, its seems random, and level of a player does not seem to matter either;
We had a low lv member declare - as we thought we might get a lower lv guild - and we ended up with RR (the nr 1 guild); so that didnt work out and/or go well;
We also tried to declare at about the exact same time as another guild, to see if we would get paired up with that guild, also didnt work, got paired up with another RR affiliate, lol didnt work out that well either,

My guess is, and thats based on 2-3 days of GWs that (maybe) in the beginning, u get paired randomly, but after ur position because more fixed, u get paired up with guilds closer to ur position, so kinda like fighting in the arena,
Again, not based on any "real" data xept for our experiences over the last 2-3 days,

Um, you post something like this but not a "HEY, WE RELEASED AN UPDATE! CHECK YOUR APP STORE FOR AN UPDATE. THIS UPDATE MAY FIX SOME PROBLEMS." That might have been more appropriate than "All Weekend Long (cool shades - as if it's cool that these problems are happening and you're so cool for working all weekend)". My App Store screen is on another page from my K&D so I don't see the 1 for an App Update.

Thanks Hakurou for at least pointing out that you downloaded a new version from the App Store otherwise I wouldn't have even checked.

However, my GW still crashes with 1.4.2 just trying to get into GW. Crash! Crash! And I'm on an iPhone 4S along with my wife (both at iOS 6.1.3) and both have the same problem. We are also both in the same guild.

As someone in my Guild pointed out, the Update has most likely nothing to do with the Guild War problems as it takes a while for Apple to accept it to the AppStore.

Btt, my fear was confirmed...as the day progresses the same Problems continue, random shutdowns during Battles or while trying to access the Gw Window. When there is no war going on everything is fine but as soon as a war is declared it starts crashing.

One smallish if still annoying workaround which works for me...most of the time...try to forceclose the App. then open the gw Tab, make a Battle...if it works without crash...forceclose the App. after being on the Main gw Screen again. So you should be able to get a battle without a crash.

1. We know older model devices have been disapproved as the reason for complications. 2. Reinstalling doesn't work and some have got a mesage claiming they need to update their app, making it our fault some how. (typical GREEd behavior) 3. There are the top guild(s) who are having no problem what so ever and are scoring 600k+ and above in points.
Soo... why is this happening but not for everyone, to me is pretty clear. GREEd has purposely bugged the game for certain players/guilds to work just fine regardless of which device model you use. Which in return allows 'them' (top guiros to reign the event). This no different than when a cell phone company (AT&T) sends out a software update which has a bug written in it to slow down older devices, so that you get angry and go out and buy the newest phone/product. In this case GREEd isn't wanting to by a new device they are allowing those who line their pockets to have the upper hand. This is no different than KA and MW where the top guilds spend ridiculous real cash which makes GREEd Corp. their money and if these top guilds think you shouldn't be able to roll with them they complain to GREEd and GREEd jumps on it within hours, where if I spot a hacker and report it 1 of 2 things happen. I get canned for slandering another player as being a hacker or nothing happens. Bottom line here is, the top guilds unitedforum, pirates this or whatever or whoever they are in this game, always want to be on top and lay large to be there and have a real connection and relationship with GREEd so everything is in their favor.
Oh! Let's not forget that many of you have purchased gems but can't use them!? Seems GREEd got theirs. The only solution I see is what someone else already suggested (sorry can't remember the name for proper credit) is re start the war after the crashing issues have been resolved and reinburst all who bought gems, then we all go at it with a fair playing field.

There are so many popups for GW, Dragon Event (still??? omg get rid of that crap that should have never been extended!), general news, armor crafting, and more! My armor crafting is now all screwed up. I have 3 armorsmiths. Normally, it tells me the armor is done crafting for ALL 3 armors at one time, then takes me to the armorsmith to choose another armor to craft. I choose an armor, press "switch", choose another armor, press "switch", choose the 3rd armor, then close.

Now, it tells me an armor is done and takes me to the armorsmith. I can choose an armor, click swtich, choose an armor, click switch, choose the 3rd armor then exit. When I exit, it tells me my 2nd armor from before is done crafting and forces me back to the armorsmith even though I already chose an armor to craft. Then I exit and it hits me up for the 3rd finished crafted armor from before, again forcing me back to the armorsmith screen that is already crafting the new armor I chose. This has been happening for a few days now.

So, its a giant conspiracy that all the top guilds are winning because GREE secretly bugged GW to affect everyone BUT us? That is a good one. Yes, only let the highest guilds fight it out, that makes total sense. Instead of making money off everyone, they decided to only let a select few properly spend money and have the game work as intended, while the rest of the players can only get in every few battles without crashing, screwing up energy purchase, just to piss people off more. This would hold up (said no one ever), if many of the top guilds had all of their player base available for the guild wars and they didn't have the same issues as everyone else. Please try again...

Guys, you are getting a little nutty and illogical.

1. Hardware
This is one of the biggest factors. iPhone5's are in fact more stable than all others, even if a couple people say theirs are crashing. I'm on iPad mini, been crashing all weekend. If you look up the specs you will see that iPhone5 has twice as much ram as iPad mini, iPhone4, and iPhone4s. If you look in your bug reports under settings you will see many memory related crash reports.

2. Guilds
The top guilds are actually worse off than small guilds, but in a better position than mid sized guilds. Crashes seem to happen when the total players in a war are over 45 or so. I'm in a top guild, and I've only been able to get into 3 war battles. I can only get in when the enemy guild has less than 5 members. Everyone in my guild with iPhone5's can get in every time. Since we have 40 members, we usually have 5-7 players for each war. The top guilds aren't cheating or getting special treatment from Gree, they are just more dedicated. That's why they became a top guild in the first place.

I started a one person guild with my level 40 alternate account, on my crappy iPhone4. I can declare and fight wars as much as I want with that account, works every time.

3. The update
It's been pointed out numerous times that the update has nothing to do with the current war problems. Apple doesn't approve apps that fast.

About the War rules I would like to say something especially about guardians.
They are really useless, you spend money, they don't protect anything and give to your opponent 2 boost armor each...
we are not going to use any guardian anymore and we hope to meet some guild that is unaware of this forum, but still the idea of guardians is crap!

Here is why I think this is happening...
1. We know older model devices have been disapproved as the reason for complications. 2. Reinstalling doesn't work and some have got a mesage claiming they need to update their app, making it our fault some how. (typical GREEd behavior) 3. There are the top guild(s) who are having no problem what so ever and are scoring 600k+ and above in points.
Soo... why is this happening but not for everyone, to me is pretty clear. GREEd has purposely bugged the game for certain players/guilds to work just fine regardless of which device model you use. Which in return allows 'them' (top guiros to reign the event). This no different than when a cell phone company (AT&T) sends out a software update which has a bug written in it to slow down older devices, so that you get angry and go out and buy the newest phone/product. In this case GREEd isn't wanting to by a new device they are allowing those who line their pockets to have the upper hand. This is no different than KA and MW where the top guilds spend ridiculous real cash which makes GREEd Corp. their money and if these top guilds think you shouldn't be able to roll with them they complain to GREEd and GREEd jumps on it within hours, where if I spot a hacker and report it 1 of 2 things happen. I get canned for slandering another player as being a hacker or nothing happens. Bottom line here is, the top guilds unitedforum, pirates this or whatever or whoever they are in this game, always want to be on top and lay large to be there and have a real connection and relationship with GREEd so everything is in their favor.
Oh! Let's not forget that many of you have purchased gems but can't use them!? Seems GREEd got theirs. The only solution I see is what someone else already suggested (sorry can't remember the name for proper credit) is re start the war after the crashing issues have been resolved and reinburst all who bought gems, then we all go at it with a fair playing field.

Mate, your post is extremely ignorant and shows you haven't been following this thread very well. There are posts from RR, Untouchables and PB here about how the majority of us can't war, I myself have only been able to fight in 2 without crashing. There are a lot of things that go into being on top, we have great coordination, maxed guild with good maxed armors, constant communication and declaring war strategically and constantly. If there is some big conspiracy theory, the Centurions weren't invited.

Since this is a post about the guild war, here is a question for the Wise One, just was in battle, my team is ranked 750 right now, we were pitted against a team ranked 18, tell me, what chance do we have of winning? this happens quite often and not in our favor. And I don't want to hear that it's a random thing. If there's no chance of fair battles, why even bother playing?

they made several mistakes:
1) guardian are not only expensive and useless but actually help the enemies dropping boost
2) awards are less worth than the boost you can find fighting guardians, unless you are in the top 100
3) to get more boost is better to play alone or with a couple of clones or low level friends
4) the bonus for the guild master is the only thing worth, with guild and champion
5) purchasing boosts from guild is even better if you are alone or at least with couple of people, if you have full upgraded 12 TF you can use very well your money
6) with the money you get the bonuses like +5% and so on increasing just the elements you want, maybe 2-3 of them. Since you don't need at all an high level for it but you just need gold it is really useless to have a high level guild


in few words and not even mentioning the crash problems here we have a clear picture.
Guardians are useless (or even good for enemies), no need for big guilde if you go for boost armors and bonuses, so no need for high level unless you want to get one of the first 100 positions, but you need to have all active and coordinated, so its a big effort that with crashes could be vain

the way has been designed this guild war is definitively wrong and makes better to create everyone of us his own guild and spend money on boost

The one I feel really sorry for is guild "Rock" -- a two person guild, members "wesler" and "Lucious". They were matched against Rainbow Room FIVE times! Clearly the matching algorithm needs work.

So I was able to participate in GW a few times (36-4 when it let me in...) and out of my guild of 22 only 5 members were able to participate and we got rank 2,072 meaning we didn't even get a reward for the time spent/wasted over the weekend with this. I truly hope that this is either not counted and no rewards or given or that compensation are given to EVERYONE to show that they f'd up and gave us a severly bad beta version of the Guild Wars.

I was able to get in with my ipad at times when it wasn't crashing (Bought in October of last year) but my daughters could not on their ipoD 4th Gen so again wasn't system related but random/bugged related. Again I hope that either they start with a "fixed and actually working version" and/or compensate everyone for playing a f'd up game.

This was a lot of fun when I could get in but I only was able to take part in a few battles due to all the crashing. Just terrible. If Gree can figure it out this will be great. Unfortunately Gree has shown no signs of being able to make it work.

I must admit that I had a blast. Most fun I've had since I started playing the game(been playing for quite awhile). Got to know a lot of guild buddy's, and we did pretty well for my level 26 guild, placed 142 or something. Obviously a little glitchy but very fun idea!

Okay, so apparently, the guild war is now over.
The good news is that we all can now play without crashing yay!:rolleyes:
But the bad news is that we just had 1 of the worst weekend ever because of the crashes.:mad:

The guild ranking for some people could have gone a lot, lot better if it weren't for the crashes that happened. I guess it was a unforeseen event but even so, why didn't it get fixed ASAP? Did GREE even try helping? Till the very end, some people still crashed and can't help their guild. It's sad to know and very disappointing. The first guild war should be the best event yet to release in Knights and Dragons(i really thought so at first) but turned out into a disaster. I'm guessing a very poor testing was made before release and due to this, some people or more had poor ending in their position in the ranking.

Oh and how bout for people who lost some gems while refilling their energies during crashing? Are they even gonna get a refund? or compensation at least? Anything, anything at all?

Pretty crappy if you ask me. That's equivalent to 60 gems. In all other gree games, they give 50 gems for minor screw ups. Considering the magnitude of this screw up, it should have at least been keys for legendary chests.

In a midst of all this, how come no one is saying anything about the lack of gold? How do you award the top teams with an epic and legendary+ with no gold whatever? Okay, you may say the armors is a good enough of a prize, then what about gold prizes in arena/boss leaderboards? Armors are getting more expensive, but the bottleneck is gold...with no way to get gold faster.

Anyone not received his Guild rewards ? I have not received anything from the guild war. I also can't click on the ''main'' tab, maybe those issues are related? It's really frustrating howmany bugs this game has. Its funny seeing the smallest companies do the coding almost flawlessly on pretty heavy games and this one messing it all up.

Got my keys and fusion armor, and the War Rewards yesterday.

I feel fractionally better towards Gree for recognising that there was a problem, a BIG problem, and giving some compensation. I would have preferred some fusion stones to take the pain out of levelling armors.

The problem with keys is that some people will get lucky and get something worth keeping, while others will get dross that is mere levelling material, so effectively different people will receive different levels of compensation.

I'm not finding Gold to be a limiting factor at all, it's piling up. What I need is the will to farm snakeskin.

Like other People i would have preferred other means of compensation (like Gems or Fusion Stones) but Gree showed the will to give a General compensation to lift the mood of players and encourage them to continue playing even though there might be bugs in future...and at least in my case it worked.

Certainly there has been a significant amount of complaining on this thread, about the bugs... about the rewards...

For my bit I enjoyed the change of pace and hey, they didn't really get it right, but it was better than not getting it at all. I liked my reward... I rarely get DPC keys, and they didn't have to do it.

I received the same reply and followed up with another inquiry. At this point I have considered the rewards lost. It is upsetting but I am just glad all my guildmates got theirs.

To another response I did check my inventory and gave them many hours after the rewards were distributed for them to show before issuing my error report. It is sad that people make it to where that has to be asked.

It isn't the case, someone in my guild also didn't receive the rewards and I know for a fact that he earned points. Also, I imagine Starve earned points for his guild, as he seems to be quite the elite player ;)

Starve was instrumental in getting our guild's fourth place spot. He personally gained over 185k points and took out the enemy sentinel on numerous occasions. For Gree to not give him his due rewards is unacceptable. Without Starve's assistance, our guild would not have received the rewards it did. About a third of our guild couldn't even participate due to the connection issues that plagued this first war. I don't understand how Gree can be confident rewards were distributed properly when they plainly were not. I suppose they just deem this small percentage of players expendable.

Please do the right thing here Gree and distribute rewards properly.
