Still on #9. Over 70 opens since my last grenade. Crossing my fingers!

Mcdoc same with me 40 attempts since 9 for me grhhhhhahhhhhhhh I'm angry and still angry I'm angry and will be angry

It seems the event got NERFTED, hahaha
I have been stuck on 9 for 3 days and done about 70 tries since getting #9
Open a few just to get VPs, Canons, Ghost, 250k and tons of the specialty of the house "sorry"

Even thought I quit the event earlier today, idc what anyone says all these events are rigged and pretty much impossible to win even for gold players!!! Yea they did nerf the events even more!!! It's probably a 0.1000000 chance of winning it and this is what you call some BULLSH!T!!!

Same old same old. 4 days, 77 open attempts since grenade #9, and will end up like the other events, close but no cigar. I am hoping that they do not extend this event like the one they did 2 events ago. Being stuck at 9 for over a week during that event added some grey hairs and lost sleep.

Now that's quite interesting. I was wondering if it was possible to win an event in overtime. Only ever tried properly once.

hey KoD, yeah I do not think spending gold on this kind of event is worthed, except if you follow McDoc's strategy and "buy" the unit early in the starting hours of the event, otherwise, you'll end up losing 1500-3000 gold just for scratch..
IMHO, if you used only medium cash option, the burden is lighter, i.e. if you dont win the final prize, we could say, yeahhh I'm just doing this gold free...so no wonder I didnt win...lol have a laugh, and move on to the next event...

IMO, you should spend your gold on events such as pvps (stamina refill) and boss events (medkit), it's a LOT more effective and pays out a greater success rates... I have spent a little gold on both event, and did well...

as for crates event, it's pure luck, where a LOT of superstitions and mental attitude comes in play...
as lots of people said on this events : the more you want it, the harder it gets, due to your expectations running soooo high, when you fail, you fell so hard, it hurts...just take it easy, like WF said, its fun, and we should enjoy it...

May the good juju keeps spreading to all of you still in hunt...

Meant to post on here a couple of days ago but I finally won my first event after getting 9 the past 4. The downside is that this is probably the worst reward yet, but I don't really care. My tactics were interesting. I never had more than one grenade, and ended up only attempting 26 opens. I got grenades on 4/5 of my last opens, and I only opened every couple hours, as I wasn't heavily incentivized to open hourly this event. I used all cash opens, and was pretty shocked at my success rate.

Has anyone had this much success with so little effort? I finished with 3 1/2 days to go and haven't opened any since, but I'm just curious if I'm on to something. Seems like a risky strategy, but I might try it again.

oh my god today has been the most frustrating of all.

every single medium open has been successful!! i keep getting armored chargers :mad: :mad: :mad: they suck!! i its getting so hard to find crates. i keep finding them just in time though so i havent missed an hr.

earlier i did 45 straight PVP's and didnt find a single crate!! i do 3 hits per person then move on. thats 15 people!! all captains and majors. UGH losing units like crazy and shooting through lvl 97 like a freaking rocket

I usually do not give up until 10-12 because a lot of times they do not start dropping until hit 6 or 7, then you will get one on 6, 7, 9, 10, etc, until they run out of boxes or you run out of stamina. I once took 7-8 boxes off someone in one visit. Made sure to leave a thank you note on his wall just to say thanks. Especially when I opened one of them and got a part/grenade whatever...

I think 8 is the most that I have lost to a single visitor to my base at once. Usually over night though

I just hit people with a lower defense than my attack, I do not pay attention to rank. Usually after first hit I will scan inventory of ribal to see if they have any event loot from past or present events. If they have some, especially from more recent or current events, then I keep going, if no loot I might move on. Usually just give 10-12 hits anyways for the BPs and Xps/valor etc

This is like a miracle! First guy I found- scanned his inventory and saw the dragon helicopter from this current event.

This is like a miracle! First guy I found- scanned his inventory and saw the dragon helicopter from this current event.

5 attacks- nothing!!!!
6-grenade box
7-grenade box
8-grenade box
9-grenade box
10-14 nothing

thats so weird it wont drop any the first 5 hits!!
For clarification, I sometimes get boxes on the first, second or third hit, but I might have to go to 6-7 hits before one drops.

Hope you left him a thank you note because you probably just took all that guy's boxes! Nice!

Yup... I was watching amazing spiderman at the theaters with my brother and right as we were leaving, the employees told us that there was tornado warnings... All of the street lights were down on the way home... It was a Scary drive

Has anyone else ever tried the strategy of never having more than one crate at a time?

I had zero in between most opens, and then I would find another crate in 1-3 hours and open immediately. Like I said, it only took me 27 cash opens and I got it in 3 1/2 days. Guess I am very lucky but I don't feel guilty because this game has spited me so many times...

i have opened every single hr on the hr this whole event (except sleeping 6-7 hrs a night). never had more than 1 crate at a time. still stuck on 9. in the last hr i've done enough pvp to get 16 crates for OT. wish me luck!

i still cant believe it!! 1 hour and 19 mins left and a grenade drops!! wow. i won my elite MPS vessel on the last day with about 8 hrs left. the satellite smasher i won a day or two early. this one was close!! i'm super happy that i won it, but i do wish it had a better bonus haha like the draughtmen. yes. still bitter about the draughtsmen.

i really do feel bad for him not winning. i know he did everything possible this event. especially since he logged it all. i think he had more open attempts than i did, but i dont log anything.

Thanks! I wish you good luck!! OT is the hardest/most stressful aspect of this game. Seems like everytime I wanna play OT theres some kind of emergency I need to use my phone for haha.

MW transferred to back up device. Wi-Fi set up for all known local spots, Personal Hotspot set up for my real iPhone in range... not risking the disconnection in case KA was a glitch once off... come on number 10!!

I have 135 gold I am willing to gamble to make it an even gold number at 28K. I get another open here in a few minutes and that will give me 9 resets and opens combined and will finish it with a cash open since it's not even.

If I don't get it I think I miss out. Don't think I can keep my ipod on the game that long.

If it's meant to be, it'll happen. I don't fall inlove with these event units anymore so I don't feel anger when I lose.

As long as I get my free unit when I buy all four LE's I am happy.

I deleted the game and am no longer playing and I found my new game I'm playing it's gonna take awhile so will not be playing modern war

(Yes approaching game release season now I have no reason to pass time with this game yay)

this game is no longer strategy it's now luck

Tournaments we're okay because Teh best won but now it's out of hand and I rated 1 star in app store

This event made me quit 100+ attempts no prize Soem with 20 opening attempts go it you say I'm unlucky that's b****

I'm now gonna take my MONEY TO GAMELOFT and cash it in there

Now I found a new game and I don't care anymore and getting a ridiculous 100+ opening attempts never did it then that's hacks you guys are just addicted but I have a reason to quit so I can play other games that are better

I'm heading back to skill games I'm good with strategy but these events have turned into luck no fun = no flan

Yea its pretty lucky! zero gold spent on event. all medium opens. and yea i got all my boxes this event from PVE. only kept one on hand. then towards the end i did pvp and got 16 boxes... when number 16 opened it was the grenade

Still in OT, logged on now through my laptop during lunch. Down to one crate. Have gotten schwag units, valor, cash, and a grunt. 3 sorries since my last successful open. The game has not crashed yet which is some kind of record for me. I don't have high hopes of winning, just sticking this out to till the end as even a slim chance in hell at that boat is still a chance, so it's worth taking. But I'm realistic so I'm not expecting it.

no, they're crap. 10 attack and 12 defense. I've got 30 of them. And correction on the name "Torpedo Boat" is the correct name.

This OT was fairly easy for me. It didn't crash, which is amazing in and of itself, and I was so busy that the time flew by between checks. Also, I didn't have my hopes up, and that always makes it easier. I did get some good cash and valor.

The *one* thing that made it a bummer though, was that for me it ended with the utter disappointment of this new boss event popping up within 2 minutes of opening the last crate. It was a like a decent sundae that wasn't exactly what you wanted but it was good(I got good units) and then someone took that and topped it off with chocolate flavored cow dung.

I managed to get to item 9 in OT, so I'll take that. I think I've only missed out on 3 or 4 sub-10 items over all the events.
