try mcdocs way to play the event. i am farming the mini sub in emir island and amphibious trooper in docks for boxes. but at lvl 67 i am not strong enough to keep them and some lucky raiders keep thieving them away. currently i am at 5 grenades with big flan :)

It's a map mission not too far into the game. Can't remember the level it's unlocked at. but I can't think it's too high.

None. No gold at all. Just hourly opens with cash.

You really need to using McDoc's way, 900 gold won't do it if you have a lot of boxes on hand. I've found over the last few events that the parts are always in the 2nd and 3rd boxes from 0, i.e. it opens the last box you collected, not the first.

Didn't see his post but I agree. Many times I would have 10 -15 boxes on hand and after doing resets and gold opens, it has usually always been the first, second, or third from 0.

Yes...i have 5 sons and 1daughter. They are all grown now. Two married three grandchildren and they all think im crazy!!!! They say i am way too addicted. I love, love, love this game yet frustrating at times. I am in shark territory and trying to hold my own. Advice is always welcome

Haha damn! I haven't been able to find more than one off someone in PvP. In CC it's ridiculously hard to find boxes in PvP....to the point where you question whether the drop rates were nerfed.

Thanks Doc. I had some Gold on hand waitin for the new crates but since they didn't change them I thought why not try the Docs method and try and win my first event. Luckily enough I got #10 with just over 5 days to spare and still can't believe it dropped!!!

The Assault Specialist for 81+ level group has stats 27/6....so we only get +2 added to the combined stats total compared to Seq's lol. The 3 item unit in CC, before the most recent change in event style, had stats of 44/41 for the level 81+ tier. Doesn't make sense to me. The 7th unit item for me this event has stats of 55/29. So basically the first item won in CC is better than the third item won in MW lol.

I know it aint that big of a deal, but check out how much more CC is favored in these 2 most recent lockbox events. These are both from the level 81+ tiers.

This is f-ed up. The Stealth Specialist in the 51 plus tier is a 17/7 unit. That means that the 50 and under tier gets a far better unit than those of us in a higher tier. That is screwed up. This is the second event where this happens. I'm sending in a ticket and i strongly encourage everyone else in the 51 to 80 level range to send one in, too.

I'm lower than your tier...but the first unit for my tier is better yet the other 4 have considerable better stats..been checking with Flan on that hes around that tier(51-81)

I'm not all that good, but I love playing just the same. I grew up playing on elementary school teams, but never did at higher grades(Electronics, computers, and girls had my focus). I play now as part of my rehab, trying to get back in shape. I can still mostly sink the ball from all over the place no problem if I'm not under pressure, but in a game I struggle to make anything happen. That's changing as I get stronger and the weight comes off, but I've got a ways to go. That and rowing are restoring my vitality.

Anyway, congrats on your team winning. I haven't followed pro ball in years, but my son is old enough now that we're going to be going to some Warriors games next season. He's starting basketball camp in a couple weeks. :D

Btw Seq, your third unit seems unusually low stat, though. Usually in the higher levels you get better unit stats. I'm level 63 and the first unit is Stealth Specialist 17/7, 2nd: Tiger Comanche 15/39, 3rd: Fortified Transport 46/28, 4th: Silent Operative 60/28, and 5th: Heavy Carrier 287/159.

Edit: my bad, I thought you were in the higher levels since your first unit is actually stronger than mine.

Thanks Mcdoc, your method is at least partially applicable for free players
like me too. I just keep my XP on the edge of a level up before most events to get a free energy refill, then just try to open every hour on the first 24 hour of the event (alternating opens with my sons). If I get 7 by then, then I have a chance. At least that gets me 9 on the last 7 events.

On nine.. I gave in after 10 sorries using medium option and bought 3000 gold. Got the LE set (Cool got the uncommon bonus one... Flan are you jealous, my air force is bigger than yours) and blew 1000 gold opening and reseting 38 crates to clear them out... got 11 million in cash, 4000 valor, three grenades (on 9 now) and the rest all dragon and ghost infantry, and a bunch of ground vehicles.... so opening crates 1 at a time now until I get 10 using gold.... That stupid idea that the first ones you get have the G's is rubbish... cleaned out 38 to prove it. Grrrr

That is hilarious. You have a legend to distinguish your gold opens from your free opens from your cash opens but you only actually use the cash opens! That is great stuff.

Sorries most of the day, some torpedo boats, a cash payout, and now it seems the grunt portion of the event has begun for me.

Just counted them up, I have 24 grunts. More than 1/3rd of my allies are grunts. This must be why nobody wants to sit with me. Either that or the explosive diarhea.
