Great post, and ideas DEWIN.

Tadaaah, thank you for the update!

Would like to add another to the list of issues (small....very small issues...which by the way, is not limited to just simply being able to open the game); All messages left on my in-game wall can only be read using the 'News' option. No messages appear on my wall, and, I am unable to respond to any messages due to this (no, responding through the News option does not work..takes me directly to my wall....my empty.....wall). No, this issue is not on the scale as many others...but, I'm missing out on some very 'good' conversations in-game.

I unfortunately have no hard facts to back this up, but it seems that is really not the case tadaah. While some were able to get in with each fix, there were also more that were locked out with each fix. I think at best it's a wash right now.

It's completely crazy that you guys can't figure anything out that a single update broke and four fixes are unable to fix. Why do you insist on not answering WHY 4.4 is unable to be put back in until you get somebody in there who knows what it is they are doing? Until you are able to give a real answer to that question, your customers can only make the assumption is that it's not because you can't, but because you won't. Your reasoning for that being it somehow fits an agenda in just further screwing your customer base and not giving two shiny turds about anything.

You're right, you don't have numbers to back that up.

A list of problems known to Gree with problems that Gree thinks they have resolved would be very helpful to those with concerns.

If such a list were published, and FREQUENTLY updated, it would be very easy for players to know what Gree claims to have fixed, and if such a fix works.

Furthermore, Gree would also be able to see issues that players are seeing and they are unaware of at this point....

I have a new one I don't recall seeing mentioned previously. On the rare times I do get into the game my wall is blank even though news feed states someone commented on it.

Certainly minor compared to the laundry list of other issues. But still a glitch.

Absolutely correct what Adam says. After the first update I was still able to log in and the game was halfway playable. After downloading the fix on Monday I'm not able to log in anymore at all. I know at least 3 guys more that have the same issue.

Don't call it a "revert", number it new and use the 4.4 data build.. simple as that... call it 5.0, it doesn't matter really, what does apple care what the data looks like?

Has anybody forgot what the customer experience is like here???

I fortunately, did not do the update when it came out, and waited to "see" if it worked. Now, with that being said, isn't that sad that I opted to wait and see first there was any issues with the update.. Sad..

Well that's easy - roll out the 4.4 software but call it 4.5.3 or whatever the next version number is.

The constraint on not moving back isn't about the software its about the version number. The numbers need to increase so the systems know which is the latest version and hence whether to offer an update or not.

My game was good yesterday yeah a little long login time but it allways connected. Today login times is worse and 70% of time it never connect at all.
A few times it even locked up phone.
Its time to fix this now Gree

Had a crash today on loading. Most know this, but for those who don't this may help...
The crash occurred after playing another memory hog game (double down casino).
MW was loading, and when finally connected to server, reset back to apps screen.
I force closed all applications (double click button and swiped apps off) and was able to restart MW (albeit slowly)
Sure points to memory hog!

Thanks for the update Tadaaah. I bet that what's happening statistically is that logins have indeed increased but due to the fact that crashes and lockouts have also increased so folks are forced to log in repeatedly thus skewing the login data.

Im glad I dont update.

I wait and see what happens 1st before I update. It's something im always warning my team not to do. But as individuals they will always do what they think is best.

This issue has given me an idea for an event. Collect 3 tubes of lube to get a temporary 20% pain reduction from the reaming you are about to receive. That would be the faction boost. The individual would be collect 3 exam gloves for a doctor with small hands

You could call it the "Proctologist" mission plan

Here is a new one. Didn't do the update. Been running well.

Commiserating with my faction members who have been locked out and unable to play. You guys here as well.

But today I could not login to the game on my iPad 2. iOS 8.0.1. Same hang ups at launch with force closes. All other apps and games worked just fine. I did a hard reset of my device and got it to log in. But now it force closes once in the game every now and then.

I have the exact same issue....since the update that had a nov 10th date I am unable to load the game. I have an iPhone same iOS with no issues loading mw v4.4. This is complete bs.

Tadaah, I don't say any of the following to be overly critical, synical or flaming but I think it's time for a new approach to addressing this issue with the community. I personally have not updated to any of the new versions yet I still feel the same frustrations of those who have. Members of my faction have been impacted, teams we faced in WD were impacted, so even if the update doesn't impact all of us individually we feel the same burden as those who have because we are a part of the community. The relationships that have developed over the lifecycle of the game have become a foundational element of this game and we want to feel that matters. In my opinion it is a reason many continue to play through some of the challenges that have occurred outside of this update. As of this posting there are 52 pages of comments. I think you have done well to keep us informed but a large problem with the information you have provided is the commitment to it being addressed. That the issues have persisted into a second week is creating a lack of confidence that any future releases will be successful. It is hopefully clear from the passionate replies to this thread that the members of this community care about the game and a signicant frustration for players like myself is the lack of any clear path towards a resolution that would leave us to feel comfortable with completing the next download. As I said you have done well to provide us with information but at the same time your posts are lacking the level of detail that I think most need to feel our concerns are being addressed. For example, your most recent post that with each update more players were able to access the game comes off as more of an opinion than fact as you provided no detail to substantiate your claim. The appearance of a post like that in my opinion is that you are considering a players ability to open the game and connect to the server but if 15 seconds later they crash out is that really an improved experience? Perhaps it's time for you to provide us with more detail behind these statements, something substantial enough for us to gain a better understanding of what is actually occurring and why it's so complex when it comes to a resolution. If you can do that than perhaps the trolling and flaming will subside and we can begin to believe that Gree cares about its community. Until and unless we get to the point where the players have confidence in the stability of the game we will view each new release as a risk to be avoided because at the heart of all of this is the desire for access and without access we feel removed from the community we care so much about.

As each update has gone out, the number of crashes has gone done. There's a tool that tracks that for us. Additionally, the number of players logging in is normal in comparison to the past. We are not permitted to give you exact numbers.

Well I also cannot get into the game since downloading the latest update. I keep trying to keep my ticket open, but Gree keeps closing it. Ticket #2036932). I know many that are in the same position, and they don't post in the forum.

The overwhelming majority of players have not downloaded beyond 4.4. I don't think it is safe to do it yet.

I too have been unable to play my account since the update. Missed panama epic boss and final ltq/fltq. Wd was a bust and now first Hong Kong ltq/fltq is nearly over and I am a day behind for the ltb. It's a game so not the end of the world, but Edbl79 is right on point as was speed ump earlier by calling out Gree to dig deep in the compensation treasure chest.

Tadaaah, with all due respect breaking down the update/crash analysis is frankly worthless to those that remain unable to play. Like me I bet most want solutions not restatements of the obvious,

Tadaaah, while I appreciate your quick reply I don't think it addressed what I said. While you may only see less than 3% impacted by crashes the number is much higher. There are 5 players from my 60 member faction that downloaded the update that triggered this issue. Two of the 5 quickly reported their experience to the faction so that we could avoid their fate. Of the remaining 55 members 36 are iOS and because of the warning we received we did not fall victim to the issue. Our auto-post bot continues to warn faction members not to download any new game version until further notice. I suspect the same experience is true for many other factions. It is for these reasons that I think the less than 3% you have stated is innacurate and flawed. My ability to access the game should not disqualify me from that statistic. I am not and will not be downloading any future updates of the game until a percentage of players much greater than 3% is reporting a successful experience. A much greater percentage than what you have stated is feeling the impact and until real talk can occur to show us that we do not need to fear the game there will unrest in the community.

Frankly, my opinion means nothing, except to me.
That said, I'm going to post it, and I hope everyone thinks about his or her next steps.
The number of crashes may indeed be reported and captured by Gree.
There is no way that Gree can know who doesn't attempt to log in, or who hasn't attempted to log in since this unfortunate series of events has appeared.
I have a number of accounts that I operate.
I wish to protect my privacy, as Gree apparently wants to protect theirs.
I can reveal, however, that after this fiasco began, I have used about 40% of those accounts.
There is no way anyone (except me) could know the numbers involved.
They aren't massive, but even if it involved two out of five accounts (it doesn't), three would be left behind.

I say to Gree, no player should be left behind.
Many players have grown disenchanted and have gone silent.
I know many that are sitting this event out quietly, waiting patiently for a resolution.
That's nothing new in life, as most people aren't vocal about issues that impact them.

If Gree gets things sorted, it won't matter to me.
It will matter to many if they don't.
I don't know why, but many players like this darn game.

Its for their sakes that I hope Gree can get things sorted.
To me, its just a game.
To most, its become their "great white whale".
Gree, think about those thousands of Captain Ahabs out there, they need this.

Tadaah, well I see you have a lot of experience being here since May. But, a little incite since your new, these fixes thus far that you have sent down have caused our games to crash even more. Now I can't even get onto my game. Throughout the WD I put up with it just blacking out after a couple hits, and after using gold only getting 1-2 hits from themed packs I purchased. So am I impressed. Absolutely NO. YOUR COMPANY HAS BECOME SO FREAKIN GREEDY THAT YOU CANT KEEP UP WITH THE SOFTWARE CHANGES!!! You. Keep adding games running every day months on end without breaks and its wearing on people. This used to be fun but the company has made it a nightmare and now we are posting on social media so you can see what we dealt with during the WD. Being in the top faction it also pisses me off for the money we do put into the game. It's not that that is the problem, but, I don't like being taken advantage of by Gree or. Screwed with by losing gold for no reason. Now we're losing even more by not being able to complete what we needed individually in the WD, but also the faction and individual LTQ's again 7 days a week.you keep jacking up the requirements to finish these events which a lot of teams cannot do because of amount of energy it takes, for trinket prizes. This game used to be fun, but YOU have made it impossible to want to keep playing. An just so you know your quick fix did not HELP just made it WORSE. YOU SHOULD PROBABLY MAKE SURE THEY WELL WORK BEFORE SENDING THEM OUT! The

My game still crashes when the music starts playing during startup. The only way I'm able to get into the game is to delete the game and restart it multiple times and it eventually gets in, but it's certainly a pain. Hopefully something that works for everyone will be out soon.

The version that works fine is 4.4That has been reported to work to some extent. What's new here (to me anyway) is the part about getting it from someone else. If you can email it to a faction mate, it may just work.

Why can't Gree just repost version 4.4 on iTunes? Then trundle out 4.5 when some of the bugs are out? Say in 4-5 years?

It is true Apple will not let you revert to a previous version, however most programs and
especially programs released in Appstores (Apple/Google/Amazon/etal) have source control.
It is easy to go back to a previous version by simplying updating & bumping the version number
so you can re-release MW 4.4 as MW 4.9 or whatever higher number you need which will get
players back to their previous playable state & does not run afoul of Apple rules.

Add to the list. I've been trying to upgrade new Warehouse bldg for 5 hours. Please extend build time. Get "server not available....even though I am in the game. Happens on all 3 devices even though one of them doesn't have the latest bad fix. I still experience no gold credit for offers especially videos and browsing advertisers ads. Slow to start. People missing on maps, just have to rely on green arrow. Stick locks up on occasion. Takes more than one try to get in.
Just a little recap:

-The original update locked a greater percentage out of the game.
-The 4.5.1 fix allowed some of these players back in, not many but some.
-The 4.5.2 update allowed more of these in.
-The server fixed allowed more in.

Each fix has addressed one or more problems people were facing. Turns out there was more than one fix that needed to be implemented. More people are in the game now than with the original update. The last of these has been identified and a fix is in development. We'll update more on that as soon as we can.

Glad your working on getting everyone on again, but even the ones that can get on will you fix those issues. It doesn't work right even when you are on.

I just deleted version 4.5.2 and reinstalled 4.3.1. It now only takes 7 seconds to connect compared to over 30 with the newest version. All aspects of the game work great except I can't see events in the globe. Maps load quickly , money collects quickly. No annoying Game Center popups. This was a last ditch effort for me as I'm the type of player that doesn't have a lot of time to play during the day. A quick pop in from time to time to collect money and hit a target or boss. This became impossible with the newest version. I hope GREE can figure out a solution soon or after over 2 years it will be time to break the ties.
Ps. GREE if you have deleted your older version of MW and need a copy I would be happy to send you one. I still have 4.3.1 and 4.4

If they can't bring the older version back to the appstore, why gree just can't give us the opportunity to download 4.4 somewhere else?

I'm playing that game for 3.5 years now, spent thousands of dollars that time. If there will be no solution VERY SOON I will be the next one asking Appple to refund my money!

Ipad has.the app crash a few times, or.is just unable to.connect a few times, then when it does, the lack of speed is amazing! Prior to.today, the 6 was performing well and the pad was ok. Not a speed demon, but ok. Now..

I have played mw since it became available.Been reading forums almost every day.

I downloaded version 4.5.2 to my iphone 4s. Then started hell. I`m in top 50 faction and havent been able to log in game for 48 hours now. Trust me i have tryed everything. This is first time ever i have thought abouth quitting. I just can not take this anymore soon. Bugs, crashes. It only gets worse..

Come on Gree, do something abouth this and fast!

There is 7-10 players in my faction that has same problem.

Ipad has.the app crash a few times, or.is just unable to.connect a few times, then when it does, the lack of speed is amazing! Prior to.today, the 6 was performing well and the pad was ok. Not a speed demon, but ok. Now..

Anyone still having no access, check your iTunes to see what version you have in there. Thankfully I hate iTunes and rarely back up and had 4.4 there. Deleted the game on the phone and installed it from iTunes and everything is working again. Lost a day at the ltq/fltq, LTB and my based was left like mother hubbards cupboard, but at least I can get back in!

Gree, just do as everyone asks and release 4.4 back as 4.5.3 please.

Still will not load. iPad 1st gen, IOS 5.1.1 (newest), MW 4.5.2, 4gb of free memory.

Looks like app is still crashing while trying to load dataset, freezes at the 10.7mb mark. Also tried running from the game centre since you can run game from there but after 10 tries and still crashing gave up.

It's been days since I was last able to log onto the Modern War server. I'm sure my base has been raided over and over and over and I'm not able to play the game. When is this issue going to be fixed?

Oh another day and still no real fix just the same old fixes that have screwed up the game even more. Now well into second week of gree bs. Missing more events I was stupid to use real $$$ on this game, but I guess I've learned my lesson. Not that I didn't know it GREE is just a leech. They can lip service about caring, but I don't know anyone who buys that BS... Just remember player appreciation month lol. Where we all got screwed with FL unit change at last min and the so called fix. Just another gree FU. Well FU gree this is maybe one of the last death nails in this game as people quit quit quit to find something better

Havnt got the time to read the 800 replies but these are my issues since the lastest 3 updates,
1) takes up to 6 mins to log in, I've timed it.
2) game lags allot and force closes.
3) can not connect through wifi anymore, ( to much data for 3G to carry on wifi ????,)
4) can it get any worse

Again: delete the game, restart your device, install the game again, start the game and be patient for 10 minutes. This works with my ipad and iphone. all my team mates with ios can play after they do this.

I did the sync through my PC and iTunes. Don't know if that made any difference. I am also on 150mb fibre internet connection.... There seems to be no pattern unless specific users accounts or regions have an affinity with specific servers and that's why certain people can get back in, because the issue is server side not client side, and has not been fixed on all servers.

I, like you was another frustrated MODERN WAR player after I foolishly downloaded the new update to my iPhone. I haven't been able to log on for a while now (lost track of the days). I am a 13bil attack player so you know I've put a lot of time and effort into this game (and money… dumb me I know ha). What i wanted to tell you guys is that the solution listed above actually worked for me. I feel terrible for the MODERN WAR COMMUNITY that this has happened. Factions have falled apart, stats have been lost, people have been booted due to "lack of participation" etc etc the list goes on… so this is how it works…

*NOTE* The only reason I was able to do this is because I have a mini account running on my iPad that still had the 4.4 modern war version installed (never did the update), or if a faction mate or modern war buddy you know has the 4.4 version you can do this. Also, I am not tech savvy at all and my description is going to be a little vague. If you check out the link above the person who wrote it does a better explanation but here's how I did it...

What I did was plug my iPad into my computer and opened itunes. I backed up my ipad (again with the 4.4 version) to MY COMPUTER, not to the cloud. "Ejected" my ipad from my computer then plugged in my iPhone. I deleted the bugged modern war app from my phone by holding down on the screen until the icons wobbled, and clicked the "x" to delete the app. I then went in to itunes making sure it didn't auto sync when I plugged it in and clicked on the apps icon. I then dragged the modern war app (that is the 4.4 version due to backing up my ipad) over onto my phone. Once that happened my phone auto synced with iTunes (you may have to do it manually) and BAM… 4.4 version is now on my phone and running smoothly, no glitches, no black screens, no shutting off… finally back into the game.

I wouldn't have typed this if it didn't work and wouldn't blow smoke up your you know whats… even if this can help out a couple people I feel a little better. I'm sorry all you guys are going through this catastrophe, but hopefully this can get some of you back on!!!

Finally, got it to work... Found an old llp account on an old iPhone 3gs... Saved that version, 3.0 , to Itunes and then could load that version to my iPhone 4 with my main account... Works ok enough to help my team with the raid boss...

But keep going, Gree.... We want a real working fix asap....

Check and see how much space you have in memory. I'm running an iPad 2 with MW 4.5.2 but IOS 8.1 it might be worth upgrading though the upgrade wanted 4gb of free space on my iPad.

I have not been able to log in with the latest update EVER. Delete it and reinstall and I can get in long enough to make a hit or collect some buildings. I seen on one log in we got our lame treats. I check and of course, nothing in my inventory, not that I can see it. I just used energy up and went to reload since I had 30 reloads, but nope not there. I am in the same boat as many others here. The rewards you handing out to us don't even begin to compensate the time we been out and not able to help our faction or our own bases. This is a complete joke Gree! You make an update and now ya cant fix the Boo boo. REALLY? I am so close to bouncing its not even funny, yet I hold on to being able to log in and get back to game play. An ETA would be nice or even a work around so we can collect or rewards and or play some to help our factions.

I have iPhone 5 worse since RB started freezes constantly wait up to 5 min for action to take place. Can't build LEB. Etc Other iPad account slow freeze but not constant. Please compensate iOS users only per their tickets or chat. I know some are so frustrated that they quit sending in tickets.

Deleted 4.5.2 from iPad and iTunes, synced phone with 4.5.1 and pulled 4.5.1 from phone to ipad and synced, now iPad2 has 4.5.1 and connects and works not perfect but better than nothing. Thanks for suggestion

I have few questions for Mod of this forum:
You posted that we cannot expect any significant fix of ongoing issues for another 1 or 2 weeks. As far as I understand it will be global fix to make a game function properly. You also posted link for the players who cannot log in into their games to file a tickets:
1. With no fix is there any reason to file tickets. As far as I know so far people are even not getting boiler plate responses for last several days.
2. If ticket filed can GREE help people individually while it works on global fix? May be for example move game on another device and see if this will help.
3. With so many people cannot get log in is GREE plans to still hold events such a FLs and WD until fix is completed? Some teams really in shambles because of the latest crush.
4. What you would advise people who cannot log in and still have plenty of gold on their accounts and about to walk away because with dynamic stats increase these folks cannot participate in latest events and losing their stats.

You couldn't be more wrong. I love my job and what I do. I've turned down jobs that have offered me over 10k more than what I make to stay in this industry and in this field. I am privileged with getting to meet and interact with people from every walk of life on a daily basis and have the opportunity to be the voice of passionate and zealous communities. I've made amazing lasting relationships and learned so much about an industry I love and believe in. I couldn't see myself doing anything else, but working in the gaming industry.

@Genen: Someone asked for a way to submit a ticket if they can't log on. I provided an answer. The link could be useful in the future. The teams are aware of this, so I don't see a need to submit a ticket spare for tracking purposes. We'll update everyone once another update is going out.

I went back to version 4.4 through iTunes. I still had version 4.4 in iTunes. I deleted the app from my ipad. connected with itunes on my desktop and reinstalled the app from iTunes. It worked for me!! After 4 days out of the game I am back in!

Well I just looked at my data useage for the past 5 days. Averaging 2-3GB daily. Before these problems I was averaging 700mb to maybe a GB. This is not good, I'm guessing these slow load times are the server sending multi mb pushes each time, grrrrrrrrrr.

I'm in favor of the ones saying no spending until they fix people's games that are broken. The reaction from gree seems to be more like its a minor inconvenience. It's not. We don't have too many who are affected, but I know factions that have quite a few affected. It's a pretty good percentage of the players. They have already lost a number, and I'm sure will lose many more. Especially once people are weened off the bottle, they may realize they no longer need it and all the associated and continuing issues that pop up with every single major event, and many of the minor ones. The meager compensation they've offered, and going to every player is a joke. I am not one of the affected, but it bothers me to see the ones who are, and how this has been handled. The answers to tickets from gree saying do this or that, like no one ever thought to cycle their device on or off, knowing that would in no way fix the problems. I don't honestly believe they are working to resolve the issue as much as they are continuing to work on planned events at a normal pace. Most come to play for fun, and it's been turned into a hated chore, that some people are only bothering with not to let down their teamates. As much as I appreciate the fact they they soldier on, I believe there comes a point at which they are fully justified in abandoning the efforts. If they want to make a show of goodwill and are truly working day and night to make the fix, stop any new events. Does that mean a reduced cash flow? It sure does. But it would stop or slow the much greater cash loss of players over the longer term, and more so the better paying customers seem to be more bothered than the free ones. Their choice, and they seem to have made it. Just my two cents for what it's worth.

We didn't used to be zealous. This is true, the old days the forum was about info from the company and the community members purely helping eachother. What fanaticised us was the cliff the company treatment of customers completely fell off.

Okay, so far I have a few problems with MW still and I have been finding a way to work around it.

Not ideal but it helps lessen my frustration.

1. Still incorrect stats being displayed
2. Missing "cash" icon on top of my buildings when it is ready for collection
3. Missing NPCs during any LTQs
4. Inventory causing MW to crash
5. Takes numerous times to load
6. Can't see any postings on my wall by going thru my profile page.
7. Still lagging, pausing and freezing

What I have done so far:

1. Still waiting for a fix from Gree - seems to be working when no temp boosts exist
2. I switch screens from my base to another map and then back and the "cash" icons will show up on my buildings
3. I just have to wait at a minute for them to show up - it slows me down and I still accidentally tap on an invincible NPC
4. Completely random - gonna have to wait for Gree to fix
5. I iOS, when it does not load the first time, I "force close" MW and then it seems to load properly
6. I can go thru the faction page and then thru view members
7. Gotta wait for Gree to fix this one

I hope that helps some of you in the same boat as I am.

Man I've no idea why this is so difficult, the fix is really easy, all GREE need to do is issue the game 4.4 version of the game without any of the DRM crap and the guys will be up and running. Applying the fix works it's proven, just it will only let the owner of the iTunes account it was downlaoded with to use it.

If you're out of the game for weeks you might as well just give up, lets face it how many factions will let you camp for weeks and you know GREE will never compensate you accordingly. How are you going to get back the 1 billion 1/2 billion of stats you will have lost, or even the 20 billion on cash you haven't collected.

It's even worse for me, I'm the FL of an active faction, can't boot anyone can't promote, we're in Limbo....

They will be back in two weeks to see how much the flies have eaten. Hoping all the while that the whole pile will be gone when they return and that Gree will not have to clean up the mess they created.

It's the incompetence that beggers belief, if only it was as simple as just deleting the game and using the money I've spent on Gold for something more useful like hey buying that XBox One. Sadly for me I'm the FL of a middle ranked faction that has a top crew in it, simply leaving would leave then right in the ****...

But if this problem keeps on for a couple of weeks, do we really believe that GREE will compensate us for the mission 1/2 billion in stats the missing units and the 10 - 20 billion in cash we would have collected?

The irony is the only people that have benefited from this problem are the guys that haven't been affected by this. So a double kick in the teeth, the guys who have no problems get a stat boost so we're doubly screwed.........

You need at least 1 gig available

2, delete pics or whatever to free up memory
3. Start MW, it goes through some kind of installation thing, not sure what, but when it got to 100% completed it kicked me out.
4. I tried again and I was in.

Yes it took a long time to get in like maybe 2 min's but I did get in and have gotten in the last 24 hrs every time. (I had not been able to get in before for around 36 hours and had tried maybe 100+ times.) this is on my iPOD touch 4th gen with 8 gig

On my iPAD 4th gen with 64 gig I have been able to get in period, but it is also taking about 2 min's to load the game.

It looks like the whole issue is a memory problem. The game has become a HOG!

The only way I have been able to get in, all be it a lot longer, is to make sure I "force close" MW before trying to open it.

I notice that it is slower on my iPad mini than my iPad Air. My mini has a slow processor, but about the same amount of free space, so I believe older devices with slower CPU will take longer.

I have 50 Gb of free space.. I totally wiped my iPad it if I install new game it works but I lose my account not much use for that as current wait for getting an account transfer is over 1 month... It's not free space, it's some sort of relationship between the account and the new version.

I'm so glad I miraciously quit the game right before this happened, but I feel bad for old team mates and the community they have to try and play through this while gree is still trying to figure out how to fix this broken game that's been broke since brazil since they never fixed my issue of not being able to see opponents base decorations on IOS platforms.... Yes even after retirement I'm still pissed gree you guys suck, and I can't reiterate that enough, but fix the damn game for crying out loud and stop trying to implement new s.hit! Maps and the game take an age to load, and I have to close the app every time I complete a level of ltq to get the reward and move on.....just re-release the old version and sort out the problems!

4.5.1 came and spoiled the Panama WD then 4.5.2 came out on Tuesday and now the game doesn't work at all for my main account (L293). Maybe its cos I had too many units or boosts? My micro (L33) works with it on ipad but its unused(it still got the "compensation package") so I've had to retire from the game. My wife & bank manager are happy though so thats good.

Minutes ago i receive temp bonus on both accs. Stats weird again.
On my Iphone i have actually 1 temp bonus. After i receive the bonus, the nation bonus is gone.
On my iPad i have the same temp bonus and the formerly described imitation of a temp bonus named (null) with the value -0
So there are 2 temp bonuses on my iPad account. 1 existing temp bonus and 1 ghost temp bonus. Now there is the infantery def Bonus affected. Wrong value display (+-10%)

I guess, the freezing and the crashes are caused by the data & document File and maybe the GC pop up. The wrong message at the bonuses is caused by the display of the temporary bonus, at least there is a direct connection.

That might not work, Gree put in some code that prevented you from running an older version of the app. Basically booted you saying you had to update. Lucky us eh. It was how they locked out Bluestacks users on OSX at first. Now the app just blows up much like it is doing on the real IOS.

I updated to 4.5.2 big mistake couldn't even logon after that...why even release that version? Then successfully reverted back to version 4.4 and I'm all good. This is the way to go if any of you can do it. End result I'm never updating this app again unless the clowns in San fran force me to.

No notice, no explanation, they just shut it down early on Sunday morning. Is this the end?


Correction: I see now they posted an "announcement" in the middle of the night about the Maintanance. I was really hoping they just turned the servers off and walked away. Hope the legal staff is every bit as competent as the programmers and support staff.

I barely used 1gb for the month. What the heck else are you doing that you use that in a day? Lol

All that extra data was from MW trying to load. I go to Starbucks and use their free wifi for that other 'stuff'. :p

For those still having problems with MW loading, if you are in iOS, "force close" MW and all of your other programs.

Then try to load MW and it will take about 5 times longer than usual or maybe even longer, but it will eventually load.

"Force Closing" is when you hit the home button twice and you can swipe up the programs to close them.

I hope that helps those having problems getting into MW.

As for the other problems within MW, that we just have to bear it until GREE fixes it.

How many days has it been now since all of this started?

I can say what ever you did for 30minutes today has made it almost impossible for me to get in now I was getting in prior to it in 5-10mins of constantly trying now I am having no luck what so ever getting in missed speed fltq and will have got raided to pieces many can't get in at all in my faction im not the worst some haven't got in in 3/4days

At this point I have 2 games of which only one is functional.
Both are iPhone 4s.
The game not working is on iOS version 7.1.1 & level 255 and MW update 4.5.2.
I can't open game at all and I've deleted everything on my phone and hard closed everything. No luck game just crashes.
The game working is on iOS version 7.1.2 & level 103 and MW update 4.5.2.
No issues on that device.

Can rarely log on now. Nothing but crashes.

Believe it or not, Gree, I do not have all day to sit around and try to log in to the game, only to have it crash virtually every time. It is not uncommon at all to try logging in for 30-45 minutes, only to fail every time. The energy, the tank, whatever else you doled out - not much help when I can't actually log in with any certainty or regularity.

Too bad I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know.

Really enjoyed playing the game (most of the time) but I am now done. All the issues since the big update have made it difficult to play and enjoy the game

Tadaaah can you confirm that something get fixed ?? I ask because my loaduptime switch back to normal ! Before it have take 10-15mins to load up ! Now it takes 1-3mins and game opens ! I still got probs with stats, no specials or units in inventory , app crashes when i try to open a map but the rest works fine atm ! BTW im not on a highspeed connection atm ! Slowed down to 65Kb and app loads fine !

Going on a week now that I can't get into the game. I personally am getting tired of it. What's worse is the canned replies from support. "Thank you for your patience, ticket closed". Then they have the audacity to send me a survey about how they did.

same here IOS. try to log in and nothing. only thing that works for me is to uninstall the app, hard reset device, reinstall app, and login.....if I log out....it's done. have to start the process all over again.

I got lucky as I had backed up my device to my laptop prior to 4.5 update and after a week of no luck with support, I deleted the application from my device and restored 4.4 to my device from my backup. I am up and running again and able to help our faction finish the boss. Glad for someones advise to look into this and being able to fix my own problem is probably the best. Gree really needs to listen and act responsively on an issue as big as this.

Sorry for the ppl that cant get in still :( Here is the way it work at my device with issues on Maps and some crashes at playing but the app works and you can do the most things like collect, upgrade, Raidboss, WD and i hope FL work too !

1. turn autoupdates off
2. delete MW -app
3. shut down iphone and restart
4. Download MW-app 4.5.2
5. after reinstall is a update shown in appstore called MW 4.5.2 "crash or stats fix" DONT TOUCH IT !!!!
6. start MWapp and when it opens close all popups and let it stay at base for 5-10mins( dont make any action in game) to get all graphic's etc. Loaded !
7. close app and Forceclose it on device ( 2x homebutton then close app in background)
8. restart app and it should work with little issues & crashes but it works :)

I hope it helps some :)

My guess, they have no clue, as in; they just don't know!!!!

They'll keep limping along, eventually crawling and slithering.

How much is TOO much for the player base?

That's the real question.

I understand why THEY do what they do.

Even some sort of assurance from a moderator that they are working on the problem etc would be nice. But whenever there is a problem, they just suddenly all disappear. Denial doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist. Denial doesn't mean the problem will go away. It will only upset the players more and at the end, the only people that will end up losing will be GREE.

I am going to sort this out with iTune after putting in a formal complaint a week ago. I suggest that everyone should do so. This might just be a good reason for everyone to just quit the stupid game now.

We all have been addicted to it in the past, but thanks to the problem, I haven't been able to log on for a week now, so my addiction have dropped a little. I find that the drain of batteries on my device haven't been depleting that quickly over the last week. I got more time with family. And the good things is just going to continue now.

And so it goes. Best idea they have had to get people to stop playing. I've played since before factions were started. I can't even begin to remember the times gree has screwed people over playing this game. They have solved my problem locking me out for almost 2 weeks now I could careless if they fix it or let it die. No one deserves to be treated like gree treats its customers. My friends and I are looking for a new fun game the only requirement is its not a gree managed game. So now I can just watch the screwed up mess and lol. If you know of any good games drop me a note...

I have just downloaded the update iOS 8.1.1. Seems like the new iOS update allows me to get back ino Modern War now. Everyone can try it.

BUT STILL THIS DOESN'T MEAN GREE DON'T HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO GIVE PLAYERS THAT HAVE BEEN LOGGED OUT OF THE GAME AN EXPLANATION.

It's one thing when the app game is played for free and another when to be competitive, the players have to spend time and money to keep up. So missing a few events in a cycle is really big deal. Plus, those people that managed to get on yesterday to do day 1 of 3 of the ILTQ gets all the rewards while those that get back in today, missed out big time on the opportunity.

Performance issues are not solved. New issue are added (e.g. increasing of loading time, display issues, empty comment board, etc., etc. ...).

I think MW is starting slowly to go dead. The game is out of control. Gree is not be able to fix all the problems. If they try to fix something it is only getting more worse. There specialists much be getting a headache from all this bugs. It seems they have moved to slower servers, because my startup time is now around 5 minutes.
They only try to make as much money as they can on a game that is allmost dead. Its a big shame against all you players and those who spent alot of money on this game.
I have sent tickets about all my problems, but the support doesn't even read them. You get a standard Gree answer. I have the fastest Ipad available, latest IOS and latest MW update. And the game is realy a big, big mess.
Alot of players also from my faction are even not able to get into MW, so they cannot play. This situation is for over a week now. The old version before this stupid update worked very well. So my advise, bring this old version back and stop bringing out new updates, before you tested them.
Sorry i have to be very negative, but i am getting very sick to play MW in this way. I play for 3 years now, but never seen MW with so many bugs.

I feel he's not the only one who exaggerates how long they've been playing. So many people say they've been playing for "years" and many have not. I remember sometime last year somebody said they've been playing for three years. Suspicious.....

Back to the topic. I have iPod touch 5th Gen running iOS 8.1, MW 5.1 and have almost no problem. Can usually get in game within a minute or two (which if still slow but at least I get in consistently; sometimes crashes). Even though I can usually get in, this is all really annoying because so many players, including my faction members, cannot.

I have experienced the long wait and immediate crash, black screen and then back to the menu as well. If I turn my iPhone off and reboot, I'm able to get back in on the next try.

I and several of my friends have complained via iTunes support
1. Game is unplayable, many being locked out for multiple weeks
2. The gree fixes don't work or in fact make the game worse
3. Gree refuses to answer customer complaints or issue regular updates..

So far, 6 people I know have seen the money spent on MW last month being returned via a reversal of charges to their accts via iTunes. I myself am done with the game, but if you spent money or want another avenue of complaint then complain thru iTunes support at bottom of iTunes page. They seem to know what customer support means unlike gree

I downloaded the iOS update today (8.1.1) and it did nothing to fix the problem. Was secretly hoping apple could fix it with their update, but sadly still the same old thing. Load the game and wait, never get in and the app shuts down. What are we waiting on, haven't had an update in a long time now. Been out of the game over two weeks now. At what point do we get some answers?
