I got the change nation screen several times tried hitting a different nation which is hard to determine since the flag graphics don't show but it didn't seem to do anything but it would not surprise me in the least that your flag somehow got automatically switched.

Sadly not even close but this just pisses me off because this is likely something some players don't realize. My guess is that for those having display issues the app is trying to reload it's graphic and data files but this is failing so the app tries a full reload on each log in. Data files range between 1.4 and 2.0 GB depending on the account, the app 88mb. A cache flush might help but then you wind up having to reload everything again.

The same happened to me and the game is still constantly crashing for me iPhone 4s iOS Version 7.1.1 MW UPDATE 4.5 I just can't see spending real money on this game anymore.

There's nothing they can do to compensate, really.

They aren't bothered or people would be working overtime to fix it. There would be status updates, there would be a hold on all events until the cause was bottomed out and a fix approved by Apple, who (if they do indeed have it) are sitting on it. Why, I wonder?

The issues are not being taken seriously by Gree, there is no thought for the customer base whatsoever and I have never seen such poor QA in the first place. Not great for business or reputation.... Would you install any new Gree product?

I made the mistake of downloading and now can't get into game at all.

The only problem this fixed was cutting down on tickets to gree and the stellar customer service unit because people can't access the game.

I have tried to open and close the app. Shut down and restart the phone several times.

All retain the building upgrade bug (previously there was a notification of in progress upgrade, now "cannot contact server")

iPhone 6 plus: no initial issues, still testing
IPad Air 16gb: as above
Ipad 2: essentially rendered my main account useless. Load time huge, maps hanging. No issue with stats but performance is as previous upgrade
iPhone 5: no initial issues, still testing

Not sure if reported elsewhere, but the picture of the units keeps changing. I thought I saw a grim ares (sp?) pic, then it kep changing every five seconds. Actually the pictures of each unit in my inventory keep changing every five seconds. Unless you are on wifi or have an unlimited data plan, I wld suggest all players quit while you are ahead.

Let me join in the chorus...I downloaded and installed the fix 4.5.2 on iPhone 4 (iOS 7)...I can't even get "contacting server" message before it crashes...

Another faction member is using iPad 3 (iOS 8), loaded the fix...can access but screen loads in Path to Victory fLTQ are painfully slow. It basically stalls (frozen) for an unusual length of time. Cannot justify as good time management.

I think the current fiasco confirms the fears amongst players about GREE's ability to maintain let alone develop the game. There were plenty of problems with the old (last working ?) version which needed fixing.

I'm on IOS version 7.0.6 w/ Iphone 4. I just installed the most recent "fixed" version 4.5.2 and WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS!

I can occasionally get the game to load; however, I cant even collect my buildings without the game freezing up. As you can imagine, the current fltq is darn near impossible to play, as it takes forever to load the maps. Once I hit a NPC, the game freezes up again. It's ridiculous and completely unplayable in the current state!

I want my old version back. The only change I have noticed with this new version is the numbers look huge when I collect my buildings. Face palm!!!

The compensation u guys hand out to the community had want to be very generous seeing as they r doing half the work in resolving this boo boo.

Don't give units as this helps no one, give gold and packs, it allows players to spend as they wish.

Please take beta testing seriously like they used to in the old days (pre gree days...it helped, bugs were rare and we used to receive between 50 and 200 gold for little mistakes...Ie the units stats or boosts didnt work exactly as advertised...this is much more serious)

I'm not sure how gree implements beta testing to users. Beta testing of server side code is simple, just flag the players who r beta testers and server checks if flag is on. Beta testing interface/app changes is a lot harder, there are a few ways to do it, but no need to go into it here.

However I just downloaded 4.5.2 on a 1st generation iPad running last available os 5.1.1 and now the game will not load at all. Crashes each time before you get to anything. Device has 2.9gb of free memory.

What devices are you guys testing with, if you are running dev tools on OSX you guys are never going to figure this out. Game is probably crashing because the graphics set is too bloated and os is blowing up before it can load. You have a similar issue on Android where devices with limited internal memory cannot load the server pushes and/or all the graphics used to display buildings and targets.

If you want to fix this you need to start reducing the amount of graphics overhead otherwise nobody is going to be able to play.

Good idea. I have over 21 GB of available space, and MW is the only app with issues on my device. As for Gree deleting some game content, I can think of at least 10 levels that hardly get used, along with what seems like hundreds of old NPCs that can be removed from the game as well. In fact, why not delete the entire portion of the game that was there when Funzio created it? Does anybody actually do any of those original goals anymore (i.e. upgrade a guard tower to level 10)??? If not, get rid of it and make the game less complicated from a data standpoint. Just a thought.

That is a good question, if you cannot access your player you can't send a ticket. In the version prior to this on some devices you couldn't send tickets because the app crashed as soon as you hit send. So if that is based on a decrease in the number of tickets coming in, well there's the answer.

Half our faction is either locked out or has significantly reduced functionality. This is a much bigger problem than is currently being recognized by Gree. There is whole sale talk amongst faction members of quiting the game but so far they haven't.

If it takes several attempts and an extended amount of time just to log in, them it constantly freezes while your trying to do simple tasks, desire to play is vanishing.

The only reason my iOS account was not affected much is that I never updated. Only those factions members that did NOT update can play the game reasonalbly well (considering the the glitches and bugs in the older versions). At least MW is somewhat playable for those few that were cautious about updating.

Also, it appears that android users are not having nearly as severe problems with the current version mess. In some cases, the fix somewhat worked for them...but not for iOS (all iOS machines appear to be affected to one extent or another).

Search for "memory cleaner" it is usually the first FREE app. On IOS7 it's a 2 part cleaner, there is an older version for ios6. Run both the memory & cache cleaners.

Once in game it is helping prevent crashes and letting people move from map to base etc. faster. Good luck!

I downloaded checker.... It helped with the memory... Bit doesn't solve the freezing issue ( and crashing etc)

I have been sending Trouble Tickets to Gree for over a week. My MW program crashed every few minutes 5 days before the last War, through the War and I lost gold and MedPaks. I have 4 Trouble Tickets in to Gree. Today, I updated to version 4.52 of MW Software. NOW, the software won't even load. It boots for 3-5 minutes , then crashes every time. My Apple IOS is the latest. I am using an Iphone 4s with maximum memory and I have 5 GB of hard drive space left.

All I have is "form letters" from GREE. None of these replies even address the problems I am experiencing and I now have to just email Gree because I can't even launch the App. This is terrible customer support.

When will they give us some info on the fix for this? 10 of my Faction members are having the same problem and we finished in the Top 10!! Gree needs to address this.

During WD, before latest IOS update and MW update :

Brix not showing.
Stats jumping all over the place.
Number of units down to 1800 approx.
All bonus units and boost gone.
Even nation bonus gone.
Game crash as soon device went into sleep mode.
Health refills gone. Had to buy more healthpacks in order for them all to show up and be able to use them. After every game crash I had to do it again.... ( Worked atleast good enough to help my team throw Goodfellas out of top10 :-) )...

After updating game :

Brix and Health refills still not showing.
Unit and nation boost showing as normal.
Stats showing wrong.
Amount of units showing wrong.

After updating IOS :

Game crash during start up. Cant even enter game... Tried uninstall / install game but no change... I need a new game update asap.... Thx.

I tried to submit a report, but after waiting 5 mins to get to the in game support screen, 5 mins to get to the email support option, and well 5 mins to type a letter, the game froze and crashed... When I say a letter.... I mean one letter in a word

I am on android. The above problem now landed on droid. GREE may had fixed some of the IOS, but the problem now transfer to droid. ;-( ;-(

I'm playing on an ipad 3 with ios 7. Since update 4.5.2 it has become worse for me. The game load but especially mapes take ages to load. And it keeps freezing all the time. Each hit takes up to 2 minutes. And also when you have a pop-up screen it freezes. Sometimes when you the click ok button couple of times nothing happens. After 2 minutes it disapears but because i clicked multiple times i am imidiately attacking the unti behind the pup up screen.
For me its now impossible to play it anymore. One level of LTQ takes up to 15 minutes to complete. Just by waiting.

Not sure if this is relevant but it's the second time it has happened, when trying to load MW and it crashes has caused my iPad to reboot ie Apple logo shows up and it is as if I had just turned it on.

Any action now on ipad 2 takes 25-40 seconds. Taps are "stored" while this pause is occurring so I have wasted 1,200 energy this morning on one target thinking it was not working at all.

....since gree made a fix that deactivates all icons, when you raid other bases or hits on the maps. On one hand, i heard, that with this it's not anymore possible to glitch targets but on the other hand now there are huge problems in the game that nerves all the players. So what is worse, that a few are able to cheat in the game or that all players have so big problems running the game?

I propose to gree to reactivate all the icons also during hits. This resynch in very short time-lags is just annoying.

Perhaps then also the data usage during gameing will go back.

That was strange when Game Center started popping up also. Anyway, the tie in can't be deleted on my end. If you delete Game Center it will ask to delete MW as well.
After uninstalling/ installing MW, Game Center is right back again. You think Apple made this a requirement to Gree?

But my main account is on ipad 2 and my SEVEN minis are on air and iPhone 6. If I lose my main ( and I have no intention of transferring it as the ipad is my work device), I leave. I am 20% of my faction, several of those guys will leave if the faction folds.

A small number may be impacted but you are looking at a house of cards if issues aren't resolved.

Getting rid of this to see if it is in any way tied up in this suite of issues would be a good start. Take out what isn't needed, I mean does anyone here recall logging a ticket to get this added to the product?

Agreed, serves no useful purpose, adds no discernible value whatsoever and the game has been fried since it's arrival.

I'm waiting for Gree to tell me it's my phone that is the problem, it is an iPhone 3 something. Where was there obsolescence plan, where was the warning two years ago that gold spent now will be utterly useless when we upgrade the game and your device can't operate it. Plenty of other options out there, watch the videos every day for free gold, if it were not for my faction colleagues I would be gone already.

My company would be firing people is we lost 10 or 15% of its customers. Just saying. And I have playing prior to Factions and I fall in this group. Matter of fact I'm in a top 50 Faction. Very displeased. Since I can't log in the game at all on my iPhone 4, I told them to remove me so I can retire but they refuse. I play for them not Gree. At this point I no longer care if you fix the game at all. Its my out.

I guess I'm lucky as I turned off the auto update and have refused to update the game until I knew the fixes actually worked. GREE says that they think it's a memory issue and from what I have been seeing on on my iPhone 5 for a couple months would almost seem to suggest the same. Personally, an overall of the maps need to be done by removing all the NPCs that are not needed. That will be a small start. I have noticed considerable lagging on my device with MW.

I thought of that but it doesn't seem to make any difference. On one account the game is working with the tie-in; on the other, I can't gen in-game, whether Game Centre is active or not.

While I appreciate your efforts to keep us updated, I don't see how you can possibly say that with any accuracy.

How can you tell whether people are unable to log in or just not playing? I have three accounts, one of which is effectively locked out. That's 33%. On the other hand our faction has 50 members and more than six are having problems and that's before counting those who only communicate in-game.

But, more to the point, even those who can log in are reporting all sorts of problems with crashing, invisible NPCs, even slower speeds than normal, loner and longer freezing, missing bonuses, etc...

It is reasonable that the current issues have been escalated to the top of the chain and equally reasonable that we get updates from that person. I am using a brand new IPad Air 2 with latest iOS. Before updating to 4.5.2, my stats were down several billion, I had a difficult time taping any target in LTQ or missions, but the game loaded fine and so was everything else. Updated to 4.5.2 and my stats are back to normal, but the game takes 2-4 minutes to load up. It is even more difficult to consistently tap a target in LTQ or missions and also to collect or upgrade buildings. The game also freezes for 30-60 seconds at a time every few minutes!

As far as the game center, MW was always connected to it in some regard.

I will give you an idea of what I am seeing:

I have several devices but one of my devices is an iPhone 5 running iOS v8.1. I have MW v4.5.1 installed and it works. However I see invisible NPCs that sometimes do not load up or takes forever to load. But the game does load. I won't update the game unless there is a know fix to the issue.

Question. Your dev team seems to think that this is memory related. Why does your team still leave old and un necessary NPCs on the maps? Why not start as a first step by cleaning up all the JUNK first and working from there with the issues as well. I will say that I do see lagging in the game but this is not related to this latest update. It has been this way for a couple months already. The later updates have only compounded the problem to the point of making it more noticeable and unplayable.

UPDATE:

I spoke too soon. My stats displays incorrect sea attack once the temp sea attack was added on to my stats page.

My permanent sea attack bonus now shows the same number in my temp sea attack bonus.

I guess Gree did not fix the Stats Display after all.

The fact that there are not regular updates on this issue is terrible. People have thousands of real dollars tied up in a game they cannot play. But I'll bet the fine folks at Greedy are still getting paid.
