How defense works??

Ok, I keep getting robbed when I'm asleep, unfortunately that's when one of my highest paying assets pays off about 4 am so I'm normally not awake.

What matters most when defending yourself from being robbed, total mafia defense? Armor? Vehicles? I'm just trying to figure out how best to fortify myself from being robbed when I am asleep as I can't stay awake 24 hours/day lol.

BTW the guy who robbed a ton of money from me last night only has a total mafia attack of 5709, while my total mafia defense is 7164 so obviously there is something else that I should be doing to better defend myself, any suggestions?

Here we go again.. For robberies defense from items are cut in half. Your total defense algorithm for robberies should look something like this: Your (total item defense(all of it)/2) + building def) + (defense stat * unknown lvl constant) +/-/* luck factor vs his calculated attack skill.

Defense buildings > Mafia size (up to cap) > Defense items / defense skill
