As far I know you can't get the same armor you fuse with, otherwise people who have been trying to fuse Cloud King with Troll to get Tectonic wouldn't be getting the error message, they'd be getting Cloudking...

If you have not finished the map, fusing is not a good way to get "unstuck". For one, if you did get anything good, it's going to be a lot of work to get the armor leveled high enough to even help. For another, your chances of getting anything good are VERY slim. Therefore, you are probably throwing away an armor that would help you for a small chance of getting a better armor.

Fusing is a gamble for when you have armors you no longer need. It may not be 100% confirmed, but it seems that your lowest result possible is 1 * lower than the lowest armor used. Therefore, most people attempt to fuse 2x 4* armors. Since epics seem to be off the fusion table, this has caused a lot of people to stop fusing all-together.

The story armors recommended in the guides should be enough to work your way through the map with time.

Start with the big 4
Hydra Hunter+
Atlantean Avenger+
Crius+
Living Flame+

You should be able to have those maxed about the time you can really work on Swap Shaman+. From there, I would skip Rocfeather and go for Armor of the Infernal Lord+.

If you've been doing it another way, the progression might not be as "natural". You might find yourself farming a lot of snakeskins for a while playing catch up. That is actually normal. I followed the normal story progression from the beginning and still I would get to an armor then have to work on unlocking the plus or maxing the armor. The time I spent on snakeskins got my character level up so that with the stronger armor and a higher character level, the next step of the story was natural.

Hi all, just wanted to confirm what I've seen in a couple of posts in this thread -- all the 5 star armors (tectonic, blazebourne, moontide) are no longer fusable with this latest update right?

If so I have to figure out what to do with my random non-plus 4 star armors which I don't need.... Thanks!

As much as it sucks, I would hold them. Anything else and you might be throwing away a lot of potential in the future.

This is just my speculation but I have heard others with similar ideas...

I suspect epics are off the table because these monos put them in a position they failed to predict. They were too predictable on outcomes and had a high chance at epics. This is because there is not enough variety in the 3 and 4 star armors. I think they are trying to think of a solution they like for that. They might just decide to leave epics off the fusion tables. However, I suspect at some point there will be enough variety to make epics "rare" again and the epics might end up back on the fusion tables.

I have seen some good suggestions right here in the forums for how to dilute the fusion tables with more armors so hopefully Gree will adopt some of those modified as they see fit and bring back epic fusions soon.

No fusions are really guaranteed, so even pre-changes, all you can confirm is the possibility.

However, some combinations had too few possible outcomes and were leading to a lot of epics going out. Gree seems to have taken ALL the epic armors off the fusion tables at the moment.

Yeah I noticed that. Just checked Blazeborne on the wiki and not only did the armor fusion change that supposibly worked in the beginning but they also mentioned that it had stopped all epics from being fused on 9/13. Not sure if it's confirmed though.

Cant fuse infernal + dark prince since both have fire element on it and atm epics arent fusable

It's nearly impossible to "prove" the negative or the absence of something. There have been VERY few people claim to get an epic from fusion since then and they have not been able to provide any proof. Given that certain fusions that DID work and were confirmed now give an error that there are no possible outcomes, that is the only assumption we can make. The request has been made to have The Wise One confirm it in multiple threads but he has chosen not to respond to those.
