Your energy will increase by 10 for every level you go up.

Yes hero strength is best, kills mobs faster.
Hero strength is best place to put your points.
Why not on army attack/defence? I often get beaten in war events when attacking players sometimes 150k weaker than me and I assumed that was due to their skill points on defence.
For long term benefits, get Hero Strength over anything else. Stronger hero strength = killing monsters faser = finish LTQ and GLTQs quicker = obtain reward units = higher stats = being able to kill the same attacking player without worrying about points anymore (since your stats are higher now!)

The higher your hero strength the more damage you do to monsters when you it them, which means less times you have to hit them. You get XP every time you hit something. You want to keep you level low so that you can score better in the guild wars.
Hero strength all the way... Every now and then ill put the left over on defense or atk but most of the time I save the extra point so when I lvl up again I can put 4 points on herostrength
