79*5 is 395. You can fight with 395 mafia members. Each one brings 1 gun, 1 melee weapon, 1 piece of armor, 1 explosive, and 1 veichle to battle.

I am using an Android phone (SG3) and when fighting other players in robberies or attacks it appears that I only use 304 equipments (Equipment used:304 - Enemy Equipment used: 272)
But when fighting other players through syndicate wars it show a proper number of items brought to battle like 1900 and 2000 items. Is it supposed to be like this? Any way I can calculate what the number 304 means for my attack specs? in my profile list I have 500 mafia members, lvl 108, 74.8k/80.2k, 2134 weapons, 2131 armors, 1029 vehicles. The list doesnt show explosives but if I count those in my inventory I have 54 non-consumable and 0 consumable.

On android, the "Equipment used" is counting the number of unique items used. If your 250 guns are all the same, e.g. the Steyr Aug, they would count for 1 equipment used, not 250.

Why would it matter if it was 500 of the same item or 500 unique? Cant an item be used by 400 mafiamembers if I have 400 of them it?
Just showing unique items doesnt rlly help me improve, and on iPhone this appears to show actual number of used items all the time like in syndicate wars on android.
