I see people all the time in my level bracket (76-100) who have insanely low attack scores, like 30k or less. I'm in the high end of people in my group, with 215k, and I'm probably capable of beating 40-42 bosses. The average is probably 50k-80k in this tier, WAY below the required attack needed to beat this boss without gold.
or maybe they are trying to stop people from farming 50 boss and also gaining cash from it , remember ranger? I think he did it over hundred times and gain millions from it.

Shoot. I'm in the same bracket and around 325k attack, and I had to use 3 medpacks on one boss. I can't imagine how bad it must be for others.

The extra strength is obviously to stop people doing boss 50 over and over and farming rates. But overall the boss is harder. Last time out boss 49 took 7 cash hits. I have upped my attack by at least 100k, still in same boss bracket it took 11. It's just Gree getting more money as per.
Historically, they would always adjust the boss strength upward with each new one, I guess to balance stat increases. Also, used to be that after the final prize tier, the counter would keep going and keep getting harder. When they switched from 30 to 50, both of these stopped. So the last 5 or so bosses have been getting much easier, and with all the health boosts farming past 50 was a big plus. Guess those days are over. Really wish they had just reverted to past practice rather than making the final level so hard, but whatever.
Between this and the massive decrease in boosts for the latest WD prize units, Gree is giving us all the big old middle finger again, and laughing all the way to the bank.
It's the same strategy like the box events...you open 9 boxes pretty quick and got 9 devices just to find yourself struggling to get the last one...it's a trap...a trap to make you spend gold.
Now they implemented a quite similar thing to the boss. Go through 49 bosses like a hot knife through butter and struggle on boss number 50! Brilliant...

Darn Gree.. I was still happily thinking why I am still using free instead of cash hits in level 40+ boss...
this is going to hurt.
I am at Lvl 155 and can only do boss up to 21 cant get past this too hard
We have also to consider the reward for beating boss lvl 50, what is over 4k attack / defense. Such a reward was never included in the "beat boss 35" events before they changed to the new format.
If you consider this and also compare to LTQ events with similar rewards then it is obvious that boss 50 is exclusively made for those folks who are going to spend gold to get this reward.
So there are categories for free players and gold spenders, its that easy. Only few players are able to beat boss 50 for free but have probably also spent gold to get those stats. So in summary they also paid indirectly to get those top rewards (only exception would be hackers).
You can still kill 45 bosses as per normal, so you can still camp and farm the boss, just you'll only get 45 prizes plus 9 bonus prizes easily, after 45 they seemed to jump up in power,
For me, last boss event hits required were (from 41-50)
11,12,12,13,14,15,15,16,17,17
This event 41-49 are:
8,8,9,9,9,10,10,11,13,15 and just starting boss 50 and it looks like its gonna be around 30 hits or more
so from 45 upwards it looks like boss health took a jump and then shot into space for 50.
Oh well, and I thought i'd spent my last gold on bosses until 150.
