I think name changes should be discouraged. If you can change your name every day, this will be abused. If you think in-game rivalries are good for the game, you shouldn't give people the option of changing their name as easily as they change their avatar.

If you really wanted to reduce tickets, how about you just stop giving people name changes and put your coders to work giving us a confirmation button for gold spending?

I looked it up because I never heard about it. Looks like GREE is bringing the Japanese version of Naruto Shippuden card game to mobile phones. I watch Naruto Shippuden, so it just goes to show you that my life is ruined and that I need to study.

A rivalry normally consist of two people so the revenge button will still work in this case, unless you mean that it will be harder to stalk people that don't attack back.

We understand that changing account names is an aspect of the game that players enjoy. As many of you know, it has been our policy to allow account name changes upon request since the launch of the game. Due to increased popularity of our games and the addition of factions/guilds/syndicates, the volume of requests for name changes has risen dramatically in the last several months. This is currently a manual process and impacts our ability to address all inquiries in a timely manner.

It is our goal to improve player experience by offering our players more control over their accounts. As a result, we plan to allow players to change account names in app (following the normal rules for name changes, i.e. they have to fit our guidelines for acceptable names). This will provide players with the ability to update their account at a time of their choosing immediately.

To support this transition, we’ve updated our policy to no longer offer name changes via support request, effective MONDAY 3-11-13. We will honor all requests that have been submitted to the support system on or prior to MONDAY 3-11-13. Once the ability to change account names in app is available we will make announcement in our forums.

Why don't they implement the same system they do when registering on the forum? Make people choose a different name if there is already the same one in use.

I get the fact that 90% of this game is based on waiting for something to happen. What I don't understand is why things are being announced so far in advance? For example what is with the name change policy?If support isn't dealing with name change requests any longer where is the in app feature? Why I am still waiting for the Android version of this game to stop crashing over and over all day long? I emailed support weeks ago. Not to mention re-downloading the game over 100 times since I got their response about some in game glitches. I also understand that with so much happening in the game it is bound to glitch. At the same time I dump between $50-$100 per week on gold into this game. I do not mind putting money into this game I actually enjoy it. I would like to at least try and get my money's worth out of it.
