    WD Feedback

    Hello, this was my first experience in a WD event. It was a lot fun, but I have some issues to report:

    1) On Saturday night, March 9th, 2013 - Sunday morning, March 10th, 2013, there was an unannounced system update towards the end of our battle leaving us all confused, and the notice said the game wouldn't be back up for three hours. Some of my faction members spent real dollars on gold to regenerate health and then we were summarily kicked out of the game. On top of that, it was also a Daylight Savings Time change night to add to the confusion. Please! If you're going to do an update or server maintenance, do not do it while people are still in battle - during a WD event of all times. Just pick a time, giving people fair advanced warning of the maintenance (like a pop up when they enter the game in the days leading up to a system down, maintenance event).

    2) During our final battle, we had allies across the world from us who suddenly could not fight because the war was over for them, but we were still going. What's up with that? They spent money on gold to help us in the final battle, then can't do anything?

    3) My faction fought and clawed it's way up into the top 1,000 ranks (943) and still none of us has received our award for that (Fahd APC, I believe) 4 days later now. We've e-mailed support since the war ended, but have not heard anything back. We're all very disappointed in the service.

    4) We had some deadbeat-freeloaders, that dragged us down during Egypt. There should be some provision where the faction leader or the officers can prevent a faction member from getting an award, like place them on the "inactive list". And, if any member is placed on the inactive list during a WD event, they are automatically disqualified for the post battle rewards, if any. Real wars have much harsher provisions and punishments for deserters, disobeying a commanding officer, and those who go AWOL Why not a game?

    5) The calculations of the points per attack seemed very confusing and random, some factions would give very good points when attacked and some would give very few points (across the board, each member in the faction). But each time we declare war, we're supposed to be matched up by the computer program against a similar faction as far as attack/defense right?

    6) I was shocked to see that next war is coming up so soon, as many have reported. And 4 days is too long a WD event.


    OT: It would be nice to able to add to "favorites" other allies that are not in our faction, but friends with, to keep them at the top of our "My Allies" list, like top 25 or something. Or make the allies list searchable. Once you get in the 100's of allies range, it's a daunting task to try to find somebody in your list.

    Just a newbie here and the changes so far have been great.

    My two cents.

    The biggest change I would love to see, especially for leader, is a message to check box or message all. Going through 36 of my faction members profiles to message them is extreamly tedious. Yes you can post in the forum but it would be a wonderful addition.

    Multiple delet forum check boxes would be great as well, but only that leader can do.

    A separate page for faction donations would be great as well. (better yet, automatic 10% of daily income given to faction.) Eliminates the need for separate page, and those that give extra are seen by all in the forum.

    Any changes planned for war to be announced a week in advance giving us time to re think strategy.

    As said, longer time between wars.

    It would be cool if gold dropped random or after finishing a level or goal. 5 gold here, 5 gold there. Just enough to keep it interesting.

    Lots more wishes but dont want to be greedy..

    Show the current faction ranking even on iOS.
    For top 10 teams you only see when you are #10, #3, #2, or #1.
    When you are in the 9-4 or 24-11 area you don't really know your ranking on iOS, but Android people can see it.

    Show the level of the players on the other team.
    The top teams are all using tricks like all having the same allies, same headgear, and same name.
    This anonymous silliness is getting tedious, and it would be helpful to make it easier to pick out foes by level & ally count. We all figured out how to count down on the player list, but it just becomes a tedious chore, not fun.

    Idea: offer a nuclear attack option. Players all chip in some gold or $ to buy a nuke and use it against the other team.
    Maybe it takes out 3 of their walls and their leader all in one shot? Something dramatic like that.
    Maybe make the other team's battle health get drained?
    It should be expensive, rare, and surprising when someone uses one.

    PLEASE can I have the in game forum back to people posts not donation posts

    I know everyone asked for a way to track donations (and I agreed with them) but putting a seperate post into the in game forum every single time someone banks money or blocks has rendered the in game forum next to useless for gaming communications.

    We tend to drop money and blocks as we go along so now it's almost impossible to communicate with the other troops because there's so many donation posts in there. We're trying to cut down the frequency of donations but with concrete at least you need to donate it before someone comes along and nicks it!!

    I tried putting a message up asking people to donate more quantity but less often but it soon got lost way down the list in amongst loads of donation messages!!

    Can there be either a seperate list for donations messages please or better still my vote is for an option in Settings for a Daily Summary message. The forum is (or was) massively useful, especially during battles but endless lists of donations messages means it's now impossible to use.

    (Sorry if this was already requested but I tried the search facility and all it gave me was thread titles with no idea where in the thread my search terms had been found).

    our faction loves the fun competition However we did not get the reward for the top 1000. I contacted support but have not heard from them. I was wondering if there was any other faction with problems. We also had six million disappear and since I am the only one that can access the moniey I know it was not spent. I never heard from support on that one as well. It would be nice to have a pop up showing what has been placed in inventory when rewards are handed out. Other than having only officers declaring war, the whole event went smoothly EXCEPT when the system shut down on us right in the midst of a battle. It looks like they could correct schedule conflicts so this does not happen again. We would like a little more time in between the war events to regroup. The concept as a whole is great, it brings fun and compettion to a new level. I know this is a learning experience for the company and the gamers, so I told our team to be patient, however they are getting restless wanting their reward.

    I agree but it does help us know if we have a slacker. What gets me is that we cannot use forum as live chat. I have played other games where that is available but with this forum I have to get out of it and back in it to see any response. That gets very frustrating.

    holiday wars

    I had issues with valentines-a day before the weekend so my better half and I had planned a nice get away weekend months before wars ever started. I wrote support asking them to please look at a calender before scheduling wars and other events. Believe it or not, there are still many places just in this country USA that there is no available internet. This scheduling would not be hard! Plus, having a SCHEDULED maintenance during a war is illogical and such a stupid mistake. Plus with it being daylight savings time as well! Could they not consult a calender or are they just that dumb? Some of our members was cut off from the war before the war ended. They live over on the other side of the world but they could not help us finish our last war. Maybe the folks who schedule the events are so committed to gaming, that they ignore all other aspects of their life, but most of us have families, work, school, so forth, and we need Funzio to consider that.

    I really enjoy this game. I have bought 1 vault of gold and will likely buy more in the near future.
    1. I second the sentiment that we need more time between battles. 4-5 weeks is much better than 3. My wife tolerates me playing this game but it has a limit.
    2. Create a separate donation tracking function for factions without cluttering the faction forum.
    3. Leave the opposing faction view so we can only see the allies. That makes it necessary to be organized and have scouts to find the best targets.
    4. I don't care if you make some small game tweaks between battles. It gives us things to adapt to.
