New Boss Event + LTQ Event Gokstad

It is ridiculous how difficult it is to kill bosses in the L75-L100 bracket. I have 109K attack @L79 and getting #12 down was a struggle. No chance to get to 20, and not a prayer of getting Gokstad.

You think that's tough? Just wait until you get into the level 101+ range. It's nuts. I'm only going to be able to beat him nine times, at most.

Yup. It's a lot of work to earn gems, so I use them sparingly and almost never on an EB.

I wish the events could be less luck dependent. Its supposed to be a strategy game, after all. I can understand scratchers just for the harmless fun value, but for the results to be so skewed towards the luck of the draw ...

I just beat boss 20 and the prize is pretty weak compared to the last prize. And still missing a rare and uncommon. Ill do two more bosses and evaluate if i would do more after that

As far as I know the bosses are stronger the more you level up. There are different brackets (e.g. lvl 75-100), true? Is ist always 25 levels per bracket?

And what do I have to optimise to do most damage to a boss? Is it att points or hero strenght?
When I fight lvl 10 Gokstad I lose about 25 per hit (whats my maximum?) and do a damage of about 16,000 per free hit. Where do these numbers come from?

Yes there are different brackets, but I am not sure if it's always 25 levels.

Attack points or hero strength does not matter at all when you attack an epic boss. All that counts is your rare (not boosted) attack strength.
With maximum health you have 100 health points. Every attack "costs" you 25 points. So to optimize your attacks you should do the following:
- Attack the boss 3 times, wait one minute, attack two times
- set timer to 26 minutes
- after 26 minutes attack twice again
- repeat..
This way you will have the maximum of 13 free or cash attacks.

Mostly correct. Although, attack skill points do go towards attacking the boss but it isn't much and I wouldn't use them for boss purpose unless you already want them in attack category.
