I reckon they are just trying to get people to like the new event style, by giving us this event as a comparator.

Confirmed, the new boss event doesn't suck! Infact its pretty damn good with them throwing in common and uncommon explosives.

The secret is to throw 2 bad events and get people upset for a few days. Then the throw an average event that's way better than the other 2 events and people are relieved and happy.

In reality, it's just like any other event or perhaps even worse than before.

If you notice, the boss event main prize is usually 1k+ attack and defense while this ones just 600+/1100+

Yeah, especially when defense doesn't really mean much in CC. Wonder if I should go all the way with approximately 200 gold required....

But for people who don't intent to go all the way, it is a better event with the explosives....
