LOL I know I am, had my lightning bolt to 14 stuck on 14 for about a day finally got 15 and has been a steady stream of sorries ever since. No worries though, that 15 unit was a good one so it's all good

I'm now at 14 scarabs. Feel like a complete douche for my little tirade after going 2 days and at least 35 opens (90% of which were gold option) without a single Scarab, then getting another 8 in the next two days. Hoping I can get the 15 unit (only need 1 more) before the event ends tomorrow.

I don't think you should feel like a complete douche.
The event does need tweaking to make it more enjoyable, without losing revenue capability for GREE.
Like I have suggested before, by all means limit the number of scarabs, etc, to encourage people to use gems for more chances to open the box (ie, reset the timer) but let the box open everytime.
My gut feel is that the more people who get past the first 5 small units, the more people there will be who will be willing to cough up some real money for a chance to get within the top 250.

<sigh> whole of yesterday only 1 scarab. Whole of today, absolutely nothing. Mainly middle option with a few rusty knives. Stuck on 14 (sound familiar?)

I am sitting on two scarabs - and both were due to mis-clicks(!) as I'm sitting out the current event. (I'd won two boxes from attacking and raiding a few victi... err... opponents to test their vault sizes.) Anyone want 'em?
Currently on 1 scarab.. I know the rusty knife option is meant to be low percentages.. but this is taking the biscuit! In some way its made the game more enjoyable for me not logging in every hour to open a box and getting disappointed with the inevitable outcome.

I can't believe we are all still falling for this crap. 2 and a half days and still sitting on ten. Opening every hour for 16 hours a day. Nothing but 'Gold' and 'Sorry'. What a load of crap this is.
Clearly guys there pushing us to spend cash, period! Hence you get jack all until you start spending cash. But hold on...is it worth spend $100 for a crappy 2D image that gives you a little extra points? Come on! This is getting rediculous! Wake up and realize there are better games out there where you can have more fun without wasting your money. Or, simply play without spending gems. Still, GREE are laughing at us all...all the way to the bank! Wake up people!

Still stuck on 13. Also yesterday the breakpoint needed for top 250 only went up by 1 the entire morning - evening. It went up 2 more last night.

Got to 15, but the 160 unopened boxes I have is irritating me.
Do not worry, I have 209 of them, I am having a garage sale tomorrow to get rid of them..........hahahahaha
If it is any consolation to the people who think this event type of leader board makes it possible for so many people to jump ahead of you with the 250 unit and the 50 unit, if there are 12,000 people playing this game, only 2% will get the top 250 unit, and only 0.4% will get the top 50 prize. So the odds of coming up against all of those people very often and that they are rivals and will attack you, is very slim.
On that note, I have hit lucky number 13 today, on Friday. After the black cat crossed my path while I was running from the mirror I broke, almost tripping over the legs of the latter I run under.
