Just beat boss 17 in 7 hits (cash only). Got my 3rd rare. Total: 8 commons, 6 uncommons, 3 rare.
Lvl 73.

Yes I got to around boss 42, but should have stopped at 30. That was the big one.
My attack now is 43k and I have 391 allies. I have some big attacking units. The warlord siege tank is my 3rd best unit.

I'd also love to hear about your event strategy. do you add allies or buy units during the event?

In this case, I was about 100xp close to leveling, so it was trivial. I would not have chased if it was far off. I figure, with 100xp to go, might as well do it for a shot at an indestructible, as it would have happened anyway when I went looking for boxes. The uncommon boat was a nice reward for it too.

i got screwed over on leveling. upon beating boss number 20 i leveled!! i wanted to use that level during boss 21

i think you'd be able to beat 3 bosses with 60 gold. 1 med pack = 5 more hits! thats like buying 3 crates man. your odds of getting a rare are much better beating 3 bosses than buying 1 crate.

17-22 will be 1 med pack. thats 100 gold
22-26 will be 2 med packs. thats 160 gold
26-29 will be 3 med packs. thats 180 gold
30 will be 4 med packs. 80 gold

Manbeast - Have you come across any compelling reason to believe adding allies can move someone forward with the bosses? I haven't seen anything conclusive myself, but I wanted to ask in case I missed something.

Just Beat boss 19 with 13 hits. Looks like gold from here on out, haven't decide if I'll use it or not though. For reference I made it to boss 26 last time before using gold and I was only a game level below where I'm at now.
