I think this event has a new dynamic, its mostly strategy not just random luck on opening boxes or who has the best factories or can time there builds best.
If I read the description right commanders and army's can come from any player in an alliance and the best commanders get used for battles, the depletion of units can be shared with all members of an alliances, and most of the tactics come in with the disruption of other alliances occupations of their strong hold which are attacks which favor the attacker in rebuild rates
The attacking of other alliances in their strongholds is more important than wasting massive amounts of units in defence,
Something that was in this post but got taken down was the numbers of bases going to be put in for alliances to be fighting over, only a few bases for the top tier.....that may be fluid that's why it got taken down.
I will add clever troop movements and timings can reduce defence loses to zero if timed correctly if continuous occupation is not your goal.
To further that.
Question for gree are there going to be radar in the outposts we are trying to hold, if not can we have the equivalent to a level 10 one added, to help with strategy knowing when its a lost cause and cutting your loses is important in tactical play like this, their is no point losing units defending with a level 50 commander if the attacker is coming with a level 90, cutting and running are better than sitting and getting hammered.
The radar adds tactical timings to combat allows for adjustable defence forces. Depending on the attacker and the type of attack.
I like this event but I am unlikely not to.... lolLast edited by Drifting death; 09-18-2014 at 10:36 AM.

You are right, to do well will cost units but that is just strategy, look at it like this alliances will have to decide which event they wish to do well in and not assume they can dominate every event, Every time.
if they wish to win this event they have to go all in, if they think its more important to do well in other events they have to agree within the alliance what's its priority events are, it is a strategy game making unit resources within an alliance important is just an increase in scale, its just increasing tactical play in the game.
Which is new but not unmanageable.

Question: Where will the strongholds be "injected"? Mostly in the middle, or around the entire map?

Question regarding the radar, will whole alliance be able to see incoming or only people who are defending?

Android is far behind ios
I play both android & ios.Android has fallen way behind it doesn't even have watch battle yet which ios has had forever.Android also doesn't have global domination or survival yet.
