They already increased vault recently. Vault isn't an issue at all. Just go over vault. 19 days is fine too really. I'd gem to completion if I thought the temporary boost in attack was worth it. I just don't think it is. I'll finish in 19 days.

Vault not an issue? I am constantly being swarmed by people with 10 million attack points and taking any money I try to save past 1.13 million so I can upgrade a manor, witch's lair and now the library. If not a vault increase, then make a bank that grows your money by a certain percentage but however much gold you deposit, it has to stay in for 100 hours to get the growth. But in that mean time, you could have a million in the bank, and a million in the vault.

Also you get reward when you begin upgrade not finish it. So if you begin an upgrade right before event ends still get prize.

Actually since Gree made it go into the war, its only 7 days left. That unless you plan to go OV in war, which i would not recommend..
