Hey dont dis football it takes a lot of work and practice to perform for about 12 minutes 16 times a year. I know if I had to work that much I would always be exhausted.

And yes there is life outside of earth

Erm....last I checked, UK wasn't exactly an authority on kickeyball either. Didn't the US go further in this years World Cup? We'd win the thing every time if it didn't mean further association with the rest if the world. America is pretty much bosses at everything we do, much like the Molly Maguires.

if anyone really cared, soccer players would make more money than football or basketball players. If they did, good athletes would play soccer, and the US would win every time. Fortunately no one cares because it's boring as hell.

Really, professional golfers should be the highest paid athletes......The dedication exhibited by these consummate professionals, coupled with the extreme danger and risk of their chosen sport, are justification enough.

Maybe if they were to implement some rule where you could pick the ball up and run or even throw the ball....then maybe the other team could try and tackle you too. You think that might be less boring?

"Nobody wants to watch a group of men chase a ball around a field for 3 hours only to have it end in a 0-0 tie. The only time soccer is interesting is when the bleachers collapse and half of Europe dies".

    Daniel Tosh paraphrased.

    Lol, very funny

In 2013, Christiano Ronaldo made $49 million salary (and another $24 million from endorsements etc)
Lionel Messi made $42 million salary (and $23 million from endorsements)
Zlatan Ibrahimovic made $30 million salary

13 million Americans play soccer. How many play "football"?

Ah yes, sir Manboobs, I missed it. On another note, I must ask. How tight did you have to tie your bustier to simulate those pecs?

As far as salary, I meant in the US, obviously. I know people in the third world care about soccer. As far as the number of people who play it, I'm really not sure where your numbers come from, but generally people here stop playing once they're old enough to keep score.

I got it from Wiki (so it must be true!), who put soccer as third in team sports participation in the US behind basketball and baseball.

Presumably the poor showing for "football" is because people stop playing once they've suffered enough concussion or brain damage.

Counting five year olds, sure. Take a look at tv ratings, which is a much better gauge of interest as it relates to my argument. No one cares about soccer in the US.

lol, some people saying there isn't any other inteliigent life oterwise we would know, gotta take ino consideration we are intelligent life and we have hardly explored our on galaxy, we there thousands if not millions of other planets that are in our galaxy let as we have been discovering with the kepler telescope as you should know that being pointed at only a small section of space. are that there are other intelligent life in our universe. we haven't seen them either because the other civilisations are not advanced enough to reach us from their home world or they are not interfering with our own civilsation until we ourselfs are exploring more than our own solar system and looking at other solar systems with a telescope.
