    Charging different amounts for gems.

I am in Canada, as just received notice of the new bundle packs.
(Currently of which two of them have no value on them).
The value of my pack 3 is $49.99, but my guild mate is in Australia and his pack 3 is $64.99.
What's up with the variances in prices. It's not like you actually ship the gems to them.
And our currency are both the same compared to US currency.

The splash screen upon logging in shows "Pack X" for the costs on packs 2 and 4. No actual value has been added.

    Another flawless event going live...

I fully expect this to be fixed within the next hour as it is preventing consumers from throwing their wallets at gree.

    Other in game issues...

Not the first time this issue has been raised, or even the only Gree game.

    http://forums.gree.net/showthread.ph...-on-the-way-up!!

A link in that thread- provided by a developer- points to Apple raising prices.
    http://appleinsider.com/articles/14/...exchange-rates

Its from 6 months ago, but in lieu of any direct response from Gree, its the answer I would go with.

I really couldn't have said it better myself. Indeed, this is what causes this. Apologies for the inconvenience.

For heaven's sake, it has nothing to do with "Apple raising prices". Give me a break. It's a display error like always. Apple DOES NOT APPROVE of the gross overcharging and misrepresentation of how and why money is spent here. I'll be very happy to post this screenshot to Apple so they'll know the company whose games they've licensed are spreading non-truths about them.

In U.S. Dollars, here are the pack amounts:
    Pack 1: $4.99
    Pack 2: $9.99
    Pack 3: $24.99
    Pack 4: A ridiculous $49.99

Its a complete farce. But not just Apple or Gree. We get the 'Australia Tax'. A mysterious cost that causes online vendors to charge more when selling to Australia. Even when the Aussie dollar wasworth more than the USD, at $1.05 USD no prices changed. Steam is the same. You can get around this by making it think you are in another county but if you do you are breaking T&Cs with most vendors, as you dont get to pay the 'Australia Tax' and that will get you banned or accounts revoked.

49.99 CDN is equivalent to 49.19 AUD, so it is not exchange rates, and their GST (Sales Tax) is 10%, so it is not that either.

It is because of exchange rates and taxes...

Apple sets a standard fixed exchange rate (it has nothing to do with current exchange rates that change daily) and has a published pricing matrix for app developers. GREE gets a set rate of return when charging certain amounts and apple gets theirs. On top of that you have to pay certain taxes based on what country you live in...or have your iTunes account set too.

GREE wants an amount of money for each item they sell, they will get the same amount (value) from each player for the same item no matter what country you are from.

The exchange rate is easy, value here = value there but the taxes are another. If you don't like paying higher taxes, I suggest you vote conservative next time.

These days, USD, CDN, and AUD are all pretty close to equal value.
