So what we can tell from this thread is that you're somewhere between 12 and 17 years old. Beyond that, who cares?

How does my taste in music determine my age? I could like classical music from the 1700s and be a teenager. I could like today's music and be a senior citizen.

Does it matter how it works? What matters is that I'm right, aren't I?

Well, ima '77 vintage - I had to listen to all the crap from the 60's, 70's and 80's and my father loved his classical stuff too, wasn't a massive fan, but appreciated learning classical guitar when I was a kid - we should probably define music by genres more so than decades to be fair - Rock in the 80's and 90's and 2000's was pretty good - Disco always sucked though the Gee's can put some pep in your step from time to time. Pop...it's a filler I spose, can't say anything modern is great, though the quality of the video clips have got much better and a lot more skin showing, so yeah, i'll watch nubile young things doin' there scantily clad stuff...but listen to them squawk away?...not so much.

before the 2000's musicians just didn't care about image for the most part, now with social media, its ruined the industry - all about fkn selfies and image and followers and crap like that, not about talent or the music...Beiber, Miley, 1D...jokes! All these teens and 20 somethings singing about life experiences, something they've never experienced, thinking their music will change the world....They can't handle their period let alone something as profane as a life lesson! At least Hanson had the decency to sing kiddy Mmm Bop songs about friendship because they were kids, not a Bieberesque Ballad about relationships and love when he was all of 14 which for some reason retarded people thought was awesome...
