EARTH weighs down it's AIRy sheath
AIR dries up the WATER's game

Orrrr, the short SHORT version:

Water beats Fire
Fire beats Spirit
Spirit beats Earth

It's been awhile, but here is the latest for my clan, re: Heroic sections (Star Shards, Part I):

In each section, you will face regular enemies, heroic minions, and heroic bosses. The minions and bosses drop items that can be used to craft special armor; go to your Armorsmith(s) and scroll to the right to see what new items can be made, and how many more drops are needed to craft them. The boss also drops star fragments about 40% of the time. The bosses do NOT require a power hit, though the minions do.

NOTE: I list the armors I've used on these sections. You might have better armors that I do, or have better luck with different combinations. The boss on section 8 is a beast!!

6 - Fairie Forest - Triskelion, Hellfire
7 - Writhing Cascades - Qarin+, Cryptid (might need a 3rd: Manticore+)
8 - Guardians Crossing - Hastur, Arborsteel, Hellfire
