When do the Guild Wars stop being fun?

The Crusaders (www.thecrusaders.info) have consistently ranked in the top 40 in wars, finishing as high as 16th as of this post.

Our members like being at the top of list, and we want to have fun doing it. But when you start dreading the arrival of your iTunes bill, resenting the other members for not ‘stepping up’, or playing purely to reach a mandate, maybe something is wrong.

Our Guild discussed this, and we decided there is a balance between fun and glory. We have established minimum goals easily met by active players without gem use. Players exceed those levels because they want to, when they want to. Members contribute to the success of the guild in many ways, and all of those efforts are appreciated.

We enjoy the game, but we don’t feel a need to put the GREE exec’s kids through college or buy their vacation condos. We just want to have fun and win some good awards while we’re doing it.

Fun but not fanatic… That’s us.

Hi, I am new to the game and looking to build my avatar quickly, I have played both crime city and modern war so i know how it goes. I may not have targets during war, but looking to support in a specific amount in itunes card or donations during war....what's your take?
