The variance in the points is exactly the same.
The only change was to reduce points across the board.

I agree. Variance probably did drop a small amount, but the average IP per hit considerably decreased.
Gold user with additional influence bonus didn't hit a single number over 550 this weekend.

I'm sorry for the lack of clarity there. We didn't say we were eliminating the variance, we just flattened the range (which did happen).
I had around 40 wins and none of them scored over 500 even with +58% influence increase

Same here not one win over 500 IP and I had 250 wins , I'm Lv 250
I don't know CJ. I guess it depends on what you mean by consistent points. I read it to be if you hit a person you
would receive consistent scores. I.e. 400, 425, 375, 400. Something like that.
For me I still had rather large swings from 298-540 on the same person.
It was definitely more consistent, usually id hit someone get 500+ then hit again and get less than 300. That didn't happen at all this time which is what gree said would happen
