Because it happens every war does not make it acceptable. They lock the guilds on time, they can get them unlocked on time.

I think its good to lock the guilds, if you are unhappy with your result and want to go, may be next day all is better.

We keep them locked on purpose for up to an hour after the event, so that we can make sure all rewards are distributed. This is by design.

That's why we extended the lock, to keep that from happening. It is ultimately arbitrary in the sense that different guilds have different versions of "freeloading", and things like the guild leader kicking *everyone* out due to spite or trolling were also not uncommon. What we ultimately decided was, if you're in faction during the event, you get that faction's prizes.

If someone is freeloading, boot them after the lock is gone and don't let 'em back in.

You don't fire an employee without pay even though they didn't perform as you expected. You still have to pay them for their time. You just have to improve your hiring process.
