With the release of the new units last week a lot of players are starting to concentrate stats in one type of unit - whatever gives you the best stat increase - for me this is air. Around 80-90% of my stats now come from air. A lot of users as they move forward will do the same.

In making the prizes non stackable and only giving out the single one in the position you finish you have created an incentive to achieve a lower rank than usual - and hence spend less gold.

This is exactly why I'm not concentrating all my units into one type. What my strength is today, isn't necessarily what it will be tomorrow. Diversity is a strategy I've implemented... Who doesn't need old wooden ships?!

Edited to fix the ranking typo. Also, to clarify again as per the FAQ, you only get the reward for the tier that you place in (it does not give the lesser tier prizes like WD).

The interest in this event just went out the window with that clarification. Way too much effort for one unit.

Lots have lost millions att/def thinking prizes were like wd, hats off to gree(d) once again passing a quick one on us fools, 40% off gold new event showing great rewards.....

This event isn't any fun at all... it is so much work, you lose more than you gain, oh and I almost forgot how insanely slow the game runs especially during event... too slow for gold, even if I wanted to use it.
