Not in my lifetime, Ken. lmao. With stats skyrocketing I'm sure it will only get easier by the day, so only time will tell.
there is a few that is not to far off from that..but i will say it took me forever to get from general to commander but after that the next 2 ranks went by really fast bc all i get is a min of 3000 bp a hit now on rivals with it reaching as high as 5500 for me

What unit? I have no idea there was a 600k stat unit on the line!
Without some serious bonus (ie 1 million times more battle points per fight) there will be no chance I ever unlock that unit.
What is with this 3 steps forward 2 steps backwards approach to rewards these days???. Counter intuitive. Also unlocking cash units with ranking upgrades is another step backwards.
I like the idea of ranking up being an advantage, dont get me wrong you dont lose here...but you dont win either.
Hope they refresh these concepts in the not too distant future.

It's funny because in my store it is unlocked, and I can purchase it. Shows my stats increase then, it disappears in about 1 minute..
I'm not that high yet, but with the upcoming inflation (airbase will be finished next week), I should start seeing higher points.
