Lol and he was so wrong. Let's not spread this evil lie. If it were true, nobody would even bother with guild wars. Why spend 2000 gems in a top 10 guild to get 1 epic, when you can get 3 epics and 1 epic+ for about the same price? Who would spend 3000 gems in the arena to get an old epic+, when you could get 4 epics and at least 1 epic+ from a chest for the same price?

Why would people spend gems on guild war? Or Arena? With either, you know exactly what epic you're getting, or trying to get. That is why people spend the gems.

With chests, you if you get an epic, its one of ANY of the epics they've released to date. You've got just as much chance of getting an old Moon as you do a Northerners as you do the newest epic. Personally, I've got enough old epics that I wouldn't want to take any chances on new chests, considering most of them are fusable already anyway.

Also, I would pump the brakes on saying people are spreading evil lies. Your %'s are just as much a guess as his is. Only Gree programmers know for sure the true %'s of epics, or each individual armor. Unless you have 1 mil gems and you open 40 pack after 40 pack and do the research over 10,000+ chests, you aren't any closer to knowing than anyone else is.

Getting the community to be honest about their chest results? Good luck. Guarantee you'll have someone creating 20 accounts saying "I opened 1000 chests and only got 1 epic" or "I opened 40 and got 3 epic+ and 4 epic"... just to skew the results.

Also, you would need 10k+ chests, if not 100k+ worth of chests to get a solid accurate %.

they're not going to tell you what % they program the chest. Casinos don't tell you what the win rate is for the slot machines.

These chests are designed for new players since there is no way you can avoid getting duplicates. The more epics you have, the more likely you gonna get the epics you don't want

It would hurt them. Since there is no transparency on this chance %, they can change it wihout let you notice.

*For example:
IF they set the chance to 0.5%: 3x CHance will be 1.5% and 5x Chance will be 2.5%
Then without letting you know, they reduce the base chance to 0.4%: 3x Chance will be 1.2% and 5x Chance will be 2%

It remains 5x more chance or 3x more chance, but the real % has changed without letting you know.
If they are reducing this bit by bit, usual gems buyers wont notice much difference.

absolutely not, its made for people who gamble and can not stop. a new player would not drop real money on this game right away, the chests are designed for people who NEED epic armors because they are frustrated with constant losing in arena or battles. if you know anyone in this world who picks up a cell phone game and says " ya know what, im gunna drop 100 bucks on this game i just downloaded yesterday" - your friend may have some problems.

if a "new" character buys chests, its because its an alt or twink.
