650 gems in last 10 minutes and did not get the last book
No tenth for me on my two characters with 9 books, one character only had 7. I did seem to win several useless 100 to 300 attack/defense units though. I would have gladly traded all of them for one more book.
I gemmed a lot in the last couple hours and FINALLY got it!!
Book 9 took me ages. Np book 10.
At least good to read that gemming appearantly doesn't influence win change. Though, bad for the peeps who gemmed to get that last book.

I saved my gems (and my real cash).
I was at 9 books with 3 days and 6+ hours left, so I had about 65 more open attempts before time ran out. I did not get the 10th book, so I did not get any pixels either.
I got all 10 books on the second day of the event an I only used gold option for opening them 😃
That's almost hard to believe....however there are miracles even in Gree's world
