I got it last night, spent a total of 180 gold (including resets) but i was already on 3/8(got those for cash opens) .. i guess every dog does have his day!

I finally picked up the Vengeance unit. After running out of gold, I decided to go cash only. In 10 or so cash opens, I picked up 2 rifles and the Vengeance. Considering the odds, I got pretty lucky.

I just got the 8th unit and spent zero gold. It just shows sometimes you can get lucky without spending lol
minis wont do this event, but main account uses only cash openings and so far has gotten:
5 unique units (one is double), got the 4th 1hr ago and 5th right now, so guess no 8 units for me and not gonna try for it either
and 11 riflesso no 25 of them either
Like hooply up there, but not as lucky, I am only lacking 2 more from making 8 on both accounts with 10 rifles and 8 on the other. Zero gold spent, even though it is enticing to spend. I probably will not make all 8 but, would be nice. Attempting opens roughly 14 hours a day.
Currently missing the Guardian Tank, and the 054 Jiangwei.
But that just goes to show ya some ppl do actually make it to the end without spending a dime. Congrats to you Hooply. And good luck to the rest of you.

I just keep getting multiples of the same unit. It's just a dice roll. Even if you spent vaults of gold there's no guarantee. There is no logic in spending gold on this event.
