The gold guys all claim that case events have the highest drop rates on the first hour. One of my guys got lucky and used only 700+ gold to get both big prices. 1 have used up to 2000 gold to get it. But it's proven. The longer it gets into the event, the lower the possibility of getting the snow crap.

Went to 9/10 bricks and 8/8 of the loot items in first hour with 900 gold. Then spent another 1,300 gold (in the first hours) searching for that last brick. Finally got it about 25 hours into the event after spending another 100 gold. I have yet to here of anyone getting either prize for free yet but have heard a player has spent 4,500 gold and is still searching for brick #10. The OP was right on the mark with this thread.

10/10 and 3/8, i used 45 gold to reset timer when i was trying for the last brick, opened all with game CC $'s (middle option)

9/10 snow bricks and 5/8 fort other weapon i mean Fum Ventilator or something like this,i don't use any gold...only open with money..but i'm very active..only don't open when sleep..from 24hours i think 19 or 18 i open per day!

im gonna stop using gold, for the last 28 hours i i have got all items no bricks, used about 800 gold, and a member in my syndicate has all 10 with less than 100 gold

I ran through the event in 90 minutes at a total cost of roughly 1300 Gold for both the 10/10 and 8/8.

They changed the probability on the 10th item early last year, but maybe they changed it back to 2%. A lot of people see 2% and think, "It'll take fifty opens on average then," but that is not how odds work. The probability doesn't change because you've had an unsuccessful open, or 49 unsuccessful opens, or 150 unsuccessful opens.

The last item drop rate was wrong for a long time on collect 10s, so a lot of people were completing.
Then a forum member found out and emailed support and mods to inform them and it got lowered.

This was brutal. I ended up spending 1800 gold to finish. A full 900 gold to get the 10/10. I'm in no way complaining. Prizes for both goals are each worthy of being a top prize in any collect ten event, as well as rivaling top 10/25 war prizes. So I do think this was worth it for me. Though that armor mod only tickled my stats.

Results will obviously vary.
