I wouldn't doubt that there is a system in place that lowers your probobility of getting loot based on how much gold you have used in the past. Before I bought vaults, I did great on the case events. Now I've opened 5 in a row without obtaining even one snow brick.

Fair warning. This is quite possibly the hardest collect ten on record. Don't go in to this event thinking anything less than two vaults will get you final collect ten prize.

Sure, it's an "odds" (wink-wink) thing. But careful, manage your expectations on this one. The last collect ten item will have you piling out your hair!!! It's a doosey!!!

Back in the day, these collect 10 were pretty difficult. From the game data, it was found that the getting an item in the final box was a 2% probability. To give you an idea, if you spent 1/2 vault (750 gold) and opened 50 boxes, that would only give you a 64% (1 - .98^50) of getting that 10th item. Add that to opening the 9th, 8th etc and you can see how the costs add up quickly.

The last 6+ months they have been much, much easier.

Yeah, for some the snow brick find rate, even with golds, is ridiculous to near impossible and for others just only few hundreds golds.

On MW on 9/10 for 3 days now .. opening 20-22 a day .. great odds (500g spend) !! Can't be done in a fair way or with a fair amounth of gold. 500/1000g for endprize = ok .. but when so many are spending 2,3 or even more, not even starting spending more.

The gold guys all claim that case events have the highest drop rates on the first hour. One of my guys got lucky and used only 700+ gold to get both big prices. 1 have used up to 2000 gold to get it. But it's proven. The longer it gets into the event, the lower the possibility of getting the snow crap.

Nope. Everyone has the same exact percentage chance if they are on the same step. Nothing else factors into that.
