    Language Policy UPDATED 12/13/2013

    Greetings Commanders!

After reviewing and considering the feedback from our players we have decided to update our language policy for War of Nations.

We want War of Nations to be a safe and fun environment for all our players and these guidelines are intended to facilitate that goal. These language policies are not meant to punish anyone but to help maintain certain standards of behavior.

We understand that War of Nations is a competitive game and some friendly back and forth between players is expected, but please remember to keep it civil.

While certain language may not be offensive to you, consider the fact that the same language may have a completely different effect on someone else. We are working to maintain a positive environment for all of our players and we need everyone to help out.

The previous three strike system will be replaced with a new system that will function as follows:

    1st Violation 1 week mute
    2nd Violation 2 week mute
    3rd Violation 3 week mute
    4th Violation 1 month mute

Further violations, recurring 1 month mute.

These guidelines help illustrate the likely penalties for language violations but we reserve the right to permanently mute and/or ban players for any particular violation.

Please check out section 8. Restrictions and Rules of our terms of service for a full description of the types of language and behavior that can result in a violation (http://product.gree.net/us/en/terms)

Also, any players who have been permanently muted, please contact support by selecting the menu from the bottom left of the main screen, then Profile>Settings>Contact Support. One of our agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Excellent way to resolve the issue of permanent and extended bans and keep players in the game while keeping things in touch.

Can I please ask you update the in game rules with the fact swearing, attempting to swear or using additional letters to create swear words can count as a violation of rules even if not used in an aggressive or offensive manner. and also include the new ban system to alert users of what they can look forward to as it's not currently stated in rules nor does is state that the bans and violations carry with you from world to world

    Hi Grok,

We have several members in our alliance who have had chat bans. The bans have exceeded the lengths stated above and have not been lifted. They have contacted support and do not receive a response. Is there anything else they can do to have the bans lifted?

If your Alliance members submitted support tickets successfully, one of our agents will get back with them as soon as possible. Be sure to submit those tickets using the in-game contact by selecting the menu from the bottom left of the main screen, then Profile>Settings>Contact Support.

Thanks for the response. They tried this weeks ago and still no response. They have also tried the general support email with no luck. Guess they are muted for life.

No response Grok? Seriously one of the guys had a one month ban that should have ended in October. It is January and he still does not receive a response from the support emails. Just the auto response we see all to much of. This is a simple thing that should be automatically lifted after the time period. Why can't it be fixed?

Another week still no response from support.

I have been banned as well now. I have not said anything remotely offensive. Support will not even tell me what it was I was banned for. This is like kicking a dog a week after it pulled the washing off the line. How do I know I will not reoffend if I do not know what it was that offended someone?

Your support team are a joke.

All mutes are timed and even if the player does not contact support, the mute will be lifted after the appropriate amount of time has passed. I can assure you that our support team answers every ticket that we receive, but if your friends have not heard back, it may be that the ticket was not completed and sent off to us. A direct email can be submitted via our main website at https://games.gree-support.net/home, click the submit a request tab. Be sure to include the name (case sensitive) and the world number of the account. If you are curious about the types of behaviour that can result in a violation, please check out section 8. Restrictions and Rules of our terms of service here (http://product.gree.net/us/en/terms)

We have members still on bans well after the maximum 1 month period described above.

I have many unanswered support tickets for won and mw as I do not count "Your request (#*****) has been received, and will be reviewed by our Specialists. Please note that due to higher than normal volume our response times are longer than normal. We request that you do not send multiple requests regarding the same issue. We appreciate your patience as we work to address your inquiry. We will reply as soon as we have an update for your issue" as a response.

I am not curious about the type of behaviour that can cause a ban I want to know what part of MY behaviour caused MY ban. I have sent an email as you have described but I am not expecting anything more than the standard auto response but you never know.

I do not agree with the chat ban at all. I feel as if I was wrongfully muted by jealous members of rival alliances. Gree should have it clearly stated why you were muted and when you are muted it bans you from everything but alliance message boards. With the scouting reports now you can insta post a scout in the alliance chat but being muted you can't even do that. A mute should only apply to world chat I seriously want to smash my phone being mute is soooo annoying and during Bp events you can't even talk to your teammates and communication is the most important thing in the game. Please everyone bring it to grees attention and get it changed!!

I was muted during a lockbox event for cussing at the lockboxes. Gree got back to me almost immediately though so I am happy with them right now.

They do not let you know you are banned you have to ask through support. They will not tell you what you said that was offensive, they just refer you to the open ended terms and conditions. If you ask they just close your support ticket. What should be a system to keep the chat environment enjoyable for all ages has turned into a tool for some to try and get back at those that have hit them.
Like I have said to support their methods are like kicking your dog two days after he pulled the washing off the line. He doesn't know what he did all he knows is you hurt him and now he wants to hit back. Great way to treat your customers.

Grok we need changes in chat rules.

Grok. I was banned for saying the word God. This is stupid. My leader got banned for speaking his native language (Italian) in wc. That is racism and religionism
