Thief, here is some info from the design team on this one:

The number of medals in each event:

Cold Front 4
Holiday Huntdown 4
Base Capture 18 (in game message says 12)
Emperor Crate Event 4
Limited Time Mission 4
General Frost 10
Operation Holidays 4
Conquering Cuba 22

To get the top prize, a player needs to collect ALL the medals. For the Conquering Cuba event, all medals are given through GLTQs and LTQs, NOT the leaderboard.

If you have other specific questions that would make the planning easier, please let us know and we'll see what we can do.

There's medals at level 8 and 15 normal mode. You can only get 4 medals total in event with the last one at level 20 prestige. There are total of 16 medals. Not sure yet where the other 12 are. I am on prestige level 6.

Looks like there are 4 up for grabs in this LTQ and then another 4 available during the Holiday Huntdown on 13th/14th.

You get units after 1 medal and 3 medals. Looks like the next unit is after 6 so not available until next LTQ.
