Spent over 3 mountains still 9/10 for jar event!

I've officially going gem free!! I spent over 3 mountains and still stuck on 9/10 Gree Wtf... While free players are at 7/10... I get a nice 16k unit for an extra 200-300 hundred dollars! Great just great!! No more..I've been spending hundreds of dollars each month. After I use up these 700 gems I'm officially going gem free.. No more money in your greedy pockets!

Its said every box event. Its a lottery and there is not guarantee to get 10 coins even if you spend several mountains of gems. The odds get better though but no guarantee. Converting to gemfree player sounds healthy for you.

The occasional "easy one" keeps people spending gems on these events. They get trully fed up with them, then they get one where it costs just a couple hundred gems and all of a sudden back on the Box Event bandwagon.

I'm not a heavy gemmer at all anyways, but I stay away from these entirely.

    Box events are gambling...
    a. To bet on an uncertain outcome, as of a contest.
    b. To play a game of chance for stakes.

    BUT

Unlike casino gambling where odds can be calculated, box event odds are unknown. Personally, I believe Gree has shifting odds on boxes based on: event, number of gems spent, and number of coins you already have. Of course, everyone gets lucky once in a while - as I got 10/10 completely free for the Chalice event for the "Spirit of Chalice" with 20% Magic attack. As stated by Blade, the chalice is the "sucker" event that lures people in. Since I believe that Gree changes odds for every box event, I have never spent a penny on them....(*I hope this doesn't get me banned again*). If so, I will see you all in a week.

Thanks Larry, that makes perfect sense.

    Patience

Why don't you try the gold option up until close to the end? I don't use gems at all and have got to ten on several occasions. You may as well give just the gold a try and if it comes down to it that you still need a few at the end, then use your gems. But overall, I imagine you could save a few gems (and $$$) by not rushing through it quite as much. Of course, it does take a lot more time so if you can't log-in on a regular basis then gems is probably your best option. Good luck!

And I probably just jinxed myself and will be stuck on 9 coins for 3 days.

Wow, that sucks! My buddy got all 10 with the gold option, and another buddy is stuck on 9/10 and has spent 3 mountains as well! How is that fair?! GREEdy will never change! Fail!

The first and third are true and always have been (we've mentioned as much multiple times) but the second speculation is not. We do tweak things between events (we tweak just about every event, whether it is collect 10 or boss difficulty or drop rates or whatnot, to see what works best). And in collect-10 or collect 20/25 events (but not leaderboards), getting one of the special items decreases the chance of getting the next one. But it does not vary from account to account or take any other factors into consideration; everyone has the same percentage chances as everyone else who is at the same step of the event.

EDIT: Nor does it have to do with level or anything else like that. It's just a flat percentage based on how many of the tokens you already have.

So the more you have the less you get !......seems fair from your side of the fence....i will look at it from this side..i had 6 all gold option then i unload 500 gems cause im stingy and think i should get at least 1-2 for my outlay considering it cost 20 to reset timer and 20 to open = 40 gems per try so around 12 tries
and all i got was low stat unit or honour ?? sliding scale seems to be working for you but for others its not
so for 500 gems you can add about 1,000 in stats providing they show in your army which given my level they dont...so wasted . i would be better off getting scratchies 500 gems @ 10 gems each= 50 scratchies with chance of getting 50-80K unit...
spent another 500 just for shyte and giggles to see the difference.....best unit was 400 stat unit, still better than Coin unit , but would it show in my army ?? no
if i was low level maybe but im not
so i would pose that those wishing to spend gems be very reserved in using them save them for Raid Boss or something.
CJ maybe you should look at gem users at least having a better advantage than gold or free opens, as your statement implies that using gems is a waste of time anyway as proven by above post.
it seems you are trying to allure your customers into a false pretence that IF the use gems they will have better chances than those using other methods!
    Shame.

Well, it needs to be increased, plain and simple... You guys make plenty enough in gems on these events, throw us a bone during the season of 'giving'. All you try to do is take, manipulate, and lead us on. It's getting old and people are slowly catching on.

oh i believe you, as far as the number of coins you have and per event. But ive also seen enough that i know for certain the rate in the first and last few hours is way way higher than the rest of the event. Which also seems a little unfair to me.

But yes, it IS as random for me as it is for everyone else.
