Are you awarded the prize as soon as you begin building the building, or after it's completed? I hope it's after, I never received the first round prize.

Prize is awarded when you start an upgrade, but when you start constructing, it's after.

Has anyone done the math yet on whether or not its doable without Gold?
Did the math, The answer is no.

I just did the math again for anyone who's in a similar situation. I've got 40 hours left of my level 6 to 7 upgrade to finish. As of this writing (1:00pm 11/29/2013 CST) you can finish without using any gold.

TLR - if you have less than 40 hours to go on your level 7 upgrade then you will be able to finish without using any moar gold.

Pay attention in math class at school! Multiply the original price by .51. Then subtract that amount from the original amount.

It will take a little longer than 18 days to fully upgrade. Unless you are using timers. It will take a little longer.

There's just over an hour left and I was finally able to buy this LTB. I was wondering if I will still get the first prize even though the LTB will take over 30 hours to finish building and this event ends in an hour or so??
