terrible. horrible matchup all day!
Both of you are wrong. Well, Schloesser isn't technically wrong, in that top teams do try to tank their IP at the start hoping for better matchups, but you are both wrong if you think a top team can actually get significantly worse teams by staying lower ranked. As I've said hundreds of times, aggregate team stats is the main factor in determining matchups. Period. If a top 10 team sat out for two days and started fighting in the last 12 hours, they'd still likely get a Top 3/10/25 team in their first matchup.
Yes, mismatches do occur, and you might attribute them to the top team's temporarily low IP score, but you'd be wrong. Mismatches happen at all levels. When the current Top 3 team was sitting in the Top 10, they still matched 2-3 awful teams in a row (Retards at Large, ranked 687th last battle), and some other team too weak to fight back in the other, can't remember their stupid name. Top 10 team, sitting in the Top 10, matched a Top 750 team earlier. Point being, mismatches do occur.
And you would know this seeing as how you have completed all goals in a battle weekend - oh wait you haven't. If you start slowly, submarine substantially and deliberately lose in the initial spell you will have a great chance to break the matching system.
I will cite Bad Blood Rising (a 50ish team). They completed all goals during Boardwalk Bash. They did this by submarining to around 480 and losing in doing so. Their match-ups were almost always at the rank they were sitting on. Fair enough, they did meet SAS2 when on rank 253 and that abbhoration did mean they had to jump to around 103 in beating SAS2.
However, their subsequent battles were largely 100-150ish teams and BBR were able to standstill/fall back (to around 113) to ensure easy match-ups until finished the whole thing.
You can say what you want hundreds of times or you can take a look at BBR members' inventories and feel jealous about the Boss Car. Submarining substantially and putting in deliberate losses does work to disrupt match-ups
I'm afraid your 'know-all' attitude has failed you on this occasion and has probably cost DFA the opportunity to have a try at streaking. Or are you gonna tell me the BBR example was just incredible fluke 50 times consecutively?

The splinter teams are killing my group.
We have a few 1 mil players , but these 10-20 person teams have most if their players higher than our DL .
We hit their few low players but get killed .
You can't sit out every battle , this is getting ridiculous, gree has to fix what they created by offering such high syndicate rewards .
I agree it's a little unfair on the more junior/non-gold teams. The wiser of the more senior teams (and specialist teams with few members all uber stats) will have submarined and expoiting you because of the unintended consequence of the rewards on offer.
Your response next battles should be to submarine 500-1000 places yourself and exploit unfortunates.

So how about us, our mini syndicate (7 account level 70 or less) gets matched to FC at the end of our 6-win streak...we are top 750 at the moment but lost our first win thx to a stupid glitch...so long 6-win streak, thx gree, you've done it again!
We were ranked 758 and we matched up against a 113.it was for our 4 in a row streak, these matchups are ridiculous.they are gonna push more players out of the game than they will get spending gold, which is all the gree-dy bums want.
Yeah, but someone from GREE said it's based on stats, but it's obviously not... my syndicate's attacked a whole team stronger than us before, like COLD Karma Mafia, their stats were double ours.... total
