I have been taking a look at my hood recently and have realised that Gree should modify the IPH output of buildings to reflect where they are placed in your hood.
For example lets say you have a house next to a techno club. The people in the house are not going to be able to sleep at night and will quickly move out so therefore you wouldn't make any money from the house being placed there.
Next you have the new LTB the bloody barber shop that sells harvested organs from unsuspecting people. The pirates tavern would be the best building to place near it as intoxicated people would leave the premises onto the streets and could easily be abducted and taken into the building for organ harvesting and wouldn't be able to put up that much of a struggle. Of course over time the patrons of the pirates tavern would wise up to the fact that this is occurring so you may need to switch over to the sports bar and switch them around every month or so.
If the circus, ice cream shop and carousel are placed within close proximity of one another they could all make huge profits as it would be a great day of fun for the entire family. Then on the other hand if you build the adult toy store next to the church then both buildings would have very poor income produced.
Gree, the people have spoken. Please implement these changes to the game ASAP!
