Here's what Zenobia posted in another thread.... I think it's what you're looking for... and very informative! Thx, Zenobia :-)

Gree seems to be counting wins from last war as well as this one towards this quest. 20/20 of the iLTQ is 500 individual battle wins. So if you won >500 last war, you may have completed the iLTQ without lifting a finger. Look for the 20/20 unit in your inventory: Deadwood Expedition Champion 40000/37400.
