    Defense playing a roll in boss events?

    What do you guys think about Defence playing a roll in boss events? especially since we dont have health regen modifiers yet and the fact that we will have syndicate boss events, i believe having defence as a working function during boss events could be beneficial to all players.

    How it would work.

    Every Tier of defence you have the boss attack power is reduced by 1.

    For example,

    Base Boss Attack Power = 25

    Tier1: 25k defence = -1 Attack power
    Tier2: 50k defence = -2 Attack power
    Tier3: 100k defence = -3 Attack power
    Tier4: 150k defence = -4 Attack power
    Tier5: 250k defence = -5 Attack power
    Tier6: 400k defence = -6 attack power
    Tier7: 650k defence = -7 attack power
    Tier8: 1000k defence = -8 attack power
    Tier9: 1500k defence = -9 attack power
    Tier10: 2500k+ defence = -10 attack power

    Max reduction is -10 Attack power meaning the boss will hit you for 15 instead of 25 at the highest possible tier.

    Defence tiers will be locked after the first fight with a boss, so if youre 148k defence when you beat the first boss and get over 150k defence during the length of the event you wont upgrade from tier 3 to 4, similar to how the bosses hp tier works with player level.

    This benefits both high level players since we all know that level 100+ boss is insanely tough to get far on and lower level campers with the stats to prove their worth.

    i dont know much about the numbers and mechanics of the boss events, but if what you're proposing means it'll be easier to beat the bosses, I LIKE IT!
    BTW is it just me or is this boss event easier than previous ones? i'm tearing up Hymen like nobody's business

    It's the same stats, but you've just had a very handy stat boost from the most generous event in CC history.

    Fair call. I already had it, so I didn't really notice. I definitely noticed a 270k boost to my attack on this one, though.

    25% gun attack, which also stacks with my 45% mafia attack, on raw gun attack well over 400k.


    On the original idea:

    I like the idea that defense plays a role - when I first started playing I assumed it did (and that caused me to waste some early skill points on defense). If they did implement it, however, it'd almost certainly coincide with a rejigging (read: raising) of boss stats. It could, theoretically, be implemented in such a way as to more or less maintain the status quo (in terms of % of people who can beat the boss for free, etc) and introduce more depth to boss events. Whether Gree can pull it off is another question.

    I already had it too. Still resentful about the fact that the second one doesn't do anything considering the cost of the first one!

    No argument though, this event is hands down the biggest single day stat increase in CC history (for most anyway--the general laws of CC break down amongst your ranks, I have no idea what goes on up there)

    i think it's a good idea in that it adds more depth to the game. i think it's a bad idea in that GREE will have to make their code more complicated and thus probably more things to screw up.

    but just from a players perspective, i like it. especially if it means that i can beat the boss easier
